About Shotgun Legend
Blast through alien-infested dungeons as Eugene searching for a mysterious truck rim to get home, armed with shotguns and scavenged alien tech in this love letter to classic console action-RPGs. Tackle 16 collectible items, optional co-op that shares health pools, and old-school exploration with minimal guidance as you work toward dual-wielding devastation.
- 10 dungeons to explore
- 8 active items and 8 passive items to collect. 16 in total.
- A unique take on multiplayer where an item allows a second player to join in that share their health with yours. Potentially increasing damage dealt, but damage taken as well.
- Minimal hand-holding. Relive that old school feeling of having to figure out where to go and what to do on your own.
- Eventually dual wield shotguns!

The Legend of Shotgunda Spiritual successor to Broken Armor, a lost soul can enjoy more dungeons, more land to explore, more weapons, more music and more hardcore difficulty. Well, a great sequel, way lnoger and adventuresquer than the dev's first game. Special mention to the banjo. The Gamortician says Yes.1 found this helpful
The controls can be very frustrating to deal with and the old-school Zelda vibes carry the experience. Overall, the game loses its charm after the first couple dungeons and just feels kinda bland. 100% achievement completion boils down to collecting every monster card (that drop from monsters at a chance) and finding every item upgrade (which are hidden in the world). It's possible to obtain everything during your first playthrough, and even if you missed something, it's possible to still get everything during post-game exploration. Overall, it's easy to 100% this.1 found this helpful
Zelda but with a redneck this game is peek there’s only one complaint I haven’t and that’s those invisible guys they suck but other than that you get 4 hours of fun for 99 cents and that’s worth
It's a cool clone of Zelda 1 on NES that's mostly plagued with some bad navigation and coding issues that don't ruin the game but make it more annoying. The sheer number of different abilities you pick up combined with the variety of different enemies you have to dispatch makes it for a fun experience. It's also pretty rough around the edges, with some really stupid game design elements that may be more restrictive of the engine or software the creator is using than anything else. Some dungeons will let you progress to the end and then present a barrier that forces you to leave and come back, which is super annoying. The final linear dungeon crawl and final boss are the best parts of the game because the game works better as a frenetic shooter than a puzzle game, especially since the puzzles are so easy. But then there are also some extra difficulties and a "permadeath mode" that probably no one will even play and I wonder why the experience wasn't streamlined more into a coherent core game instead of trying to be everything all at once.

Shotgun Legend is a charming indie action role-playing game developed by Jonathan Tindell and published by Wastebasket Games that proudly embraces its retro roots while adding its own personality and modern conveniences. From the moment it begins, the game establishes a lighthearted and slightly absurd tone, casting the player as an ordinary man unexpectedly pulled into a strange world through a mysterious portal, accompanied by an object as mundane as a truck rim that somehow becomes central to his journey. This quirky setup immediately sets expectations for an adventure that values fun, exploration, and mechanical satisfaction over epic storytelling. Gameplay unfolds from a top-down perspective that will feel instantly familiar to fans of classic action RPGs. Movement and combat are responsive and deliberate, emphasizing positioning, timing, and awareness of enemy patterns. The titular shotgun is the core of the experience, offering powerful, close-range attacks that feel impactful and satisfying. As the game progresses, the arsenal expands through upgrades and special items, allowing players to increase damage output, modify how shots behave, or even dual-wield shotguns for ove…
