Set in the alternative historical setting of 1897 Angelic Empire of Britannia, your contract will order you to eliminate the source of the unnatural fog enveloping the Berelai Manor.
Discover the secrets of the estate, as you look for answers among the violent inhabitants.
A strange and repelling madness took hold of the servants roaming the halls, and they will attack on sight, for their madness is one rooted in a deeper understanding of cosmic insignificance.
To repel the maddening horrors, your Iaito cane, and Waltham A9 hand canon will aid you. To mend your injuries your Vitae concoctions will offer healing.
Beware, whatever unearthly events have transpired, your sanity will be tested as the truth unfolds in this hungry all-consuming Fog.

Игра 'Shrouded in Sanity: Freebirth' - это мрачное и атмосферное пиксельное приключение в стиле Bloodborne. Визуально игра выполнена в темных тонах, что отлично передает ощущение безысходности и безумия, царящие в охваченном кошмаром городе. Боевая система довольно требовательная, заставляющая внимательно изучать паттерны врагов и грамотно использовать парирование и уклонение. Хотя игра и не является прямой копией Souls-like, влияние ощущается отчетливо. Сюжет, хоть и подается фрагментарно, вызывает интерес и желание разобраться в происходящем. Дизайн монстров впечатляет своей жуткой оригинальностью. Отдельно стоит отметить саунд-дизайн, создающий напряженную и гнетущую атмосферу. Несмотря на некоторые шероховатости в управлении и не всегда интуитивное повествование, игра оставляет после себя приятное впечатление. Любителям хардкорных игр и мрачной атмосферы однозначно стоит попробовать.
This game is so short, but it's one of the best game I've played.
This is a very atmospheric game. The story is neat and fun to explore, while not overly cryptic. The gameplay is well done for the most part. The enemy designs are unique and interesting, though some of their movesets could use some polish.
Played this game, beat the endboss in 3 hours. was surprisingly easy. Dont know what all the others write being hard. its really fun maybe i will buy the the game for extra content. 7/10 would be higher if the boss was harder.
