About Skeletons

A gruelling first-person exploration game.

Delve Deep, Ascend High.

To progress you must explore The Tower over three separate levels, The Underground Dungeons, The Industrial City and The Dark Palace. Each level is made up from many different locations which change each time you play.

The Queen and Her Heresies.

Demented skeletons roam the halls and dungeons, fight your way through them using your war-hammer, crossbow and an assortment of spells, Live long enough and you might encounter The Queen or her heretical abominations.

Starve The Curse.

The land is cursed! Merely being here is enough to ruin you, death is inevitable. The curse can be starved off with potions and blessings, Slaying the demented will also crawl back the hourglass giving you back your precious minutes.

Sink or Swim?

The world is dark and unwelcoming, You will fail repeatedly but in doing so you will gain the knowledge to make it further next time.
Played in VR on Meta Quest 3
*available when using praydog's UEVR tool Available here on release, tested with pre-release development version Pretty interesting de-made dungeon crawler. Feels incredibly immersive and atmospheric in the headset. Weapons are a little small in scale (can be adjusted in the settings but didn't tinker with it here) and the inbuilt motion controls are working perfectly with 3DOF which is I think all you would want for this. The cross hair is off to one side but I think can probably be hidden eventually or if it gets added as an option to the game settings. Gamepad support is good, although bizarrely can't be used for the main menu! So don't move too far from your keyboard and mouse. The left stick click raises and lowers your helmet and actually feels pretty claustrophobic in VR so good trade off for protection versus seeing where you are going. Tension is pretty high throughout, below is my first experience of the game and immediately injected with VR. Would recommend it, especially at the current sale price! https://youtu.be/WfZXkzSoQIk

Game is pretty interesting and has really nice dark & grimy atmosphere, but also gets very tedious very fast. You have to watch a slow intro scene when starting the game, and after dying. Combat was fun, but found myself dying to ♥♥♥♥ I couldn't see a lot. also makes you repeat the tutorial sequence every time. There are also timed sections which were quite frustrating. Mechanics aren't really explained either(or maybe I just didn't see how) seems like a game the dev made for themselves rather than for an audience. game isn't too well optimized either. but ya artstyle & combat are a +

i think the harshness of the visuals are cool, but it is a little *too* hard to see.

The game is certainly cryptic, randomized item locations, no saves, a lack of feedback on hits, a big helmet blocking your vision, and the entire game is in black & white. It's not absolutely awful, but ultimately the short time limit added on top of these anti-qol features renders the game trash.

dark souls is cake walk compared to this. cool aesthetic, thats about it. i dont have patience for this.

Game is way too unforgiving to recommend. Death happens randomly. No saves. You have to restart THE WHOLE GAME every time you die. And honestly, enemies just pop up in front of you and kill you before you can react!!!
