Welcome to SKYE! A flight game where you explore a beautiful painterly island group, inspired by the Scottish Hebrides.
In SKYE you explore the land in your trusty seaplane. You can land your plane anywhere on the water and visit the local port to pick up quests. The surrounding environment allows for you to maneuver through rock arches, to pass rock formations and to soar island peaks.
The quests from the locals challenge you to guide ships, follow other airplanes, pick-up goods and to set the fastest times in races! You can also explore and experience the world at your own pace and allow yourself to be distracted by collectibles, can you find them all?
The world of SKYE has a painterly effect which gives it a unique look. The beautiful world is crafted with attention to each of its features: whether it's the waters surrounding the islands, the steep rock cliffs or the green plains filled with flowers.
SKYE is created by a team of 3rd year game development students from Breda University of Applied Sciences (formerly known as NHTV) with the soundtrack provided by Alex Tosh. After four months of active development, preceded by half a year of concepting, we are excited to finally be sharing our game on Steam!

I'm so glad I discovered this hidden gem. For free I would be fine with being able only to free roam over the island, while listening to the relaxing soundtrack, just to chill for a little bit, so all the remaining content, quests, time trials, shooting range are cool additions. However, the game desperately needs the photo mode. With such a beautiful artstyle and the cozy setting, the posibilites for the amazing screenshots with the wallpaper potential are endless.1 found this helpful

I wish this game weren't so short, I completely it in under an hour (as I suspect most could), as it's genuinely a joy to play. It's relaxing, you can't crash, and the graphics have a beautiful painterly look to them so it feels like you're flying through a piece of artwork at times. If the developers worked this up into a full blown game with more variety and challenge it'd probably be one to check out. As it it, if you're looking for a short and sweet game to chill out to for an hour or so, it's free so what's not to like?
This is a pretty fun and chill game, but it doesn't have much content. It reminds me of the flying games from Wii Sports Resort.
Short but cozy flying game with no stress.
Nice game, good art, but it is short(hour or two for main story) and not challenging - can't crash the plane no matter how hard you try.
