[i]Skyforge was never a perfect MMO, but it had enough genuinely unusual ideas to feel different from most of the genre.[/i] You are never locked to a single class — [b]you can switch whenever you want, even during combat[/b], so one character can freely change roles instead of forcing you to create alts. Progression from an immortal toward godhood, Divine Form, invasions and Pantheon activities also gave the game its own identity. I especially liked how the story treats you as [b]just one immortal among many[/b] rather than another “chosen one” who somehow becomes the center of the entire universe. Cosmetics are separated from stats, so you are free to look however you want instead of wearing whatever equipment has the best numbers. [hr][/hr] That freedom is probably Skyforge’s strongest idea: [b]your class, appearance and playstyle are all in your hands.[/b] Combined with its fast combat and unusual progression systems, it made the game feel much more personal than many MMOs. [b]Sadly, the game is already shut down now, and that honestly makes all of this feel a bit more bittersweet.[/b]
