I have no idea if the inconsistency of the enemy AI is intentional or not but honestly for the given price its a pretty good game

For the price tag, I guess it's not bad. However there are some serious flaws. Sounds have zero variation, so expect the same death yells constantly. Enemy AI is completely random leading to unexpected restarts. Weapons are mostly random too - sometimes you must use a short range weapon in a long range encounter or just pray to the RNG gods and restart. I'd give this a 50/50 score if I could but it accomplishes everything it promises, tipping the balance in favor of a good review.
It's not something mind-blowing or even extensively polished (like the hit detection of the player, which seems to work inconsistently), but I can see some effort was put into this. The game's got a few moody looping tunes, which rarely manage to get repetitive since most of the time you spend only a few minutes on each level, a messy, unique style with its intentional qrotesque cartoonish simplicity, it's rather bloody, with your enemies' death poses being nice and gory, the combat system isn't outstanding (it's basically a slightly dumbed down Hotline Miami formula), but it works fine and doesn't seem to have any game-breaking bugs and the plot is this Max Payne-ish revenge story with a few twists here and there that contribute to a change of pace throughout the game, the finale has a little surprise effect to it, including the penultimate action sequence. For such a low price, this one-hour experience is worth giving a shot.
Pretty good game, kinda like a scuffed hotline miami. Not super hard, but inconsistency may get on your nerves
