♫ Songs of the Past ♫:♫~Songs of the Past~♫ is an upcoming role-playing adventure set in a world where music, mystery, and reality are deeply interconnected.  An unknown existential force emerging from an alternate reality threatens the balance of the world, and players embark on a journey to uncover the truth behind the mysterious “songs” that shape fate itself.The adventure begins in K-town, a central starting region where players are introduced to the world, its story, and core gameplay systems.  Players can choose from multiple character classes, each offering unique skills, combat styles, and progression paths, with additional classes potentially added during development.The main storyline spans nine distinct regions filled with unique environments, quests, and characters, where players gradually uncover the deeper mystery behind the songs and the forces influencing the world.Learn About The World:♫~Songs of the Past~♫ is a role-playing project that blends music-inspired themes, storytelling, world-building, and systems-based game design into a cohesive experience currently in active development.  The project has grown significantly over time, with over 130 mapped areas designed and integrated into a large interconnected world map built for exploration and narrative progression, shown below. ↓Gameplay Elements: ♫~Songs of the Past~♫ combines multiple RPG-inspired gameplay styles into a single experience, blending classic turn-based role-playing combat, adventure-oriented puzzle design, and life-simulation mechanics into a cohesive world of exploration and progression.  The game features a growing set of core systems currently in development, including a day and night cycle, character creation, and class selection, along with additional mechanics such as banking, mining, and fishing systems that form part of the broader gameplay structure.  These systems are being expanded and refined over time as development continues, with ongoing updates shaping how the world and its mechanics evolve.Development Progress & Content Scale:♫~Songs of the Past~♫ has grown significantly since 2020, with a large amount of content designed and implemented as part of its ongoing development into a large-scale role-playing experience. ♫~Songs of the Past~♫ is planned to continue expanding with additional gameplay systems and world features as development progresses toward its full release.  Planned additions may include systems such as baking, farming, lapidary, crafting, enchanting, alchemy, entomology, archaeology, an animal compendium, player-upgradable housing, and a romance system.Development is currently focused on expanding core gameplay systems, additional regions, and story content, with further updates shaping the structure and scope of the world over time.  The story foundation is already established and will continue to grow into a larger narrative experience featuring a wide range of unique characters, locations, and exploration-driven encounters.

Long-Term Vision & Availability:

♫ Songs of the Past ♫ is planned as a long-term development project, with ongoing updates and expansions intended to support the game’s growth over time as the world, systems, and story continue to evolve.The project is currently planned for release on Steam for Windows PC, with potential future platform support considered for additional systems depending on development progress.
