About Soulflow
Soulflow is a 2.5D fantasy-detective game that offers a unique experience with its graphic style. In this story-based role play game, the player must gather information from others during the day and try to solve the murders in the neighborhood to stay free.
For the soul to be free, the body must die. In other words, players have to figure out who is going to die. It does this by "saluting", that is, by changing the body. When the actor who plays the soul greets another character, he takes control of that character and begins to see the world through his eyes. In this way, he can carry out dialogues with different combinations with different people. Thus, new information is obtained through the story and the game is shaped. "Finding the character to die", which is the prerequisite for our freedom, is achieved with the information we have gained in the story. Of course, the story does not progress with dialogue alone. We can get information about the items and characters in different houses.
We can control our clock in the game and learn how much time is left until the end of the day. If we cannot be in the character who will die despite what we have done during the day, the day ends and starts from the beginning, we gather the information we have gained in the spirit book on our bedside and continue the game. The spirit also has the ability to enter different creatures in the neighborhood. The spirit that enters animals can control them: they can run fast, jump, and enter small places that human-sized ones cannot. In this way, he can get different clues. Soulflow is played with a keyboard and mouse. A simple color palette is used. (black and white) There are eight main characters in the game. All of the main characters can be entered and a conversation can take place between that character and the others. The game takes place in a small neighborhood. The neighborhood has several houses, a cafe, a clock tower, and a cemetery.

0.5 hours to get Ending 1, and after getting there I still have no idea what's going on, or what the tutorial means by "be in the right body". I tried a bit further, but couldn't slog through it long enough to see what the other endings are. The controls are painful. It feels like you're walking through quicksand all the time. If this is after the "MAJOR UPDATE Walking Speed Increase!" I can't imagine how anyone tolerated playing it before. The lengthy text in every character's info takes so much time to read, and the time passes so fast, that if you're trying to understand things on the first go the days will just skip right past you. Whether this *actually* matters or not I'm not sure, but it seems to since it's a murder mystery game. You have notes with a checklist to get you started in the game and tell you what to do next... but if you happen to skip one of the early ones, it won't check the box nor spawn the later ones, even though you're doing the same things and getting all of the information, so then to get the next hint and records you need to go back and do it all again from the start. The atmosphere of the game is great. Music and lighting and color palette, and sil…1 found this helpful
Positive. Get on sale as only 1 chapter. Having a long backlist makes me drawn to games like this - looks like there will be a second chapter (assuming as a new purchase) I have enjoyed games such as Twelve Minutes and the Sexy Brutale - although this is barebones compared to those two. Got both endings and most achievements in 1 hour play time. Humans walk slow which may be the point but annoying, dog go fast and can jump if you need to get from one street to another - cant tell time while with dog only with human.1 found this helpful
While the concept is interesting, it fails to deliver. You do not have to find any mysterious killer - you have to be in the body of the person who will be killed at the end of the day, which does not even require much thinking, as there are so few characters that I got it on my second try, with the first one being basically self-imposed tutorial. The game is clearly unfinished, badly translated and slow.1 found this helpful
The story is quite brief, leaving little room for deeper exploration. The movement can feel a bit janky at times. There are several bugs that interrupt gameplay. One of the achievements has been broken for a very long time now, making it impossible to unlock (a dev? has addressed this but nothing has come from it). The game seems to have been abandoned by the developers, leaving these issues unresolved. The music is quite nice though. The game had a lot more potential that was never fully realized.
Feels more like a Game Jam concept than a full game you would pay money for, I think I got this in a bundle myself. On paper a good enough idea for a game, but the execution here is terrible. You move as if you are wading through molasses and there really isn't that much of a mystery to begin with. The devs have moved on to other games and one achievement seams to be bugged (and one other is one of those ridiculously grindy ones nobody will get legitimately
