Space Giraffe is an abstract action arcade style game that takes place in a succession of beautiful environments generated by an advanced graphics synthesizer. It presents itself as a shooter but the more you play the more you discover the hidden depths and strategies that make the gameplay satisfyingly rich and rewarding. This is the boldest evolution of the trance-shooter, created by the company that helped to define the genre with the groundbreaking “Tempest 2000”.

This is where it all began. Where I understood Llamasoft. This is transcendance. Life. Death. A game you play with your ears, not your eyes. If only there were more than 3 tracks playing... I'd sacrifice a lot for a Space Giraffe 2.1 found this helpful
I like this game and also own a Space Giraffe hat. No one knows what it means. Nobody asks. But it is a Tempest inspired psychedelic shooter with obfuscated visuals. Do not fear! You don't need to see everything. Just chill. Try to see. Try to listen. Unlike Tempest, you will occasionally want to smash into the entities that have made it to the line and then you will hear a cool bull sound. Good luck!
Similar to tempest but even more fun. Works fine on Linux for me.
The apologists need to sit down and stop talking. This is not a good game, because it is offensive to the eye. I don't care how good the mechanics are, it's a failure overall because of the absolutely disastrous graphics, and more importantly, the inscrutable and poorly explained mechanics. They're not complex, but obscured by pure self-indulgent idiocy on the part of the dev. Dingbats in the review section be like... "dur de durr.... if u no liek sand and vasoline in ur eyes at same tiem the problem is u" Bad game. Don't buy it. Good games get cloned. Nobody will [i]ever[/i] clone this game. Get a grip, luzerz.
One of the worst games I have ever played in my life. Not even joking.
This is the best game on Steam.
