as someone who gets easily frightened, this game IS in fact scary. it’s really good, i don’t think it’s steam deck compatible though so i couldn’t continue after a certain point in the game sadly ): but i would definitely recommend this game for someone who loves a little spook!2 found this helpful
Speechless is a very well done psychological horror game by a small indie team. The game throws you straight in, the atmosphere is tense and dark, with the game ramping up on the scares with every loop. I did encounter an issue where the flashlight stopped working but after clicking replay, it fixed my issue when collecting a new one. I did get stuck at one point as I didn't realise I had to stare at a piece of writing on the wall for a certain amount of time or clicking it, but once I did, the gameplay went on smoothly. If you love horror games with looping gameplay, this is an amazing game, I had a lot of fun playing it and my community loved watching me get scared. I hope this small indie team continue to make horror games, I would love to play more! PS: Monica is a babe, you will love her.
After a full length gameplay of Speechless, there were many things I enjoyed about this indie horror. I loved the jump scares, the different sound elements, that random zombie officer who wouldn't stop harassing me lol. The loop was the perfect length for my attention span. Some things I would like to note, those letters could have a bigger font and that final note took me a while to find. The keycode number is what got me stuck at the end. Also during one scene in the beginning there was a slight glitch when the big metal shelf fell but that was the only glitch I experienced. Overall this was a nice quick game.
first I have to say I see a lot of potential in you as a game developer. But I did provide some pointers at the end of my video, that I believe would up your game development to the next level coming from a player perspective. I could not finish the whole game due to me getting stuck on a puzzle (mainly because I suck at puzzle games) but I do believe I did get through a good enough portion to give enough information about what the game is about. Again I truly do thank you for trusting me with this opportunity to showcase your game.
Played it because it looked interesting, stayed because I genuinely wanted to see how it ended. The atmosphere is solid, the audio is great, and it kept me on edge without feeling frustrating. Definitely worth picking up if you like indie horror. ❤️
this little indie horror game definitely suprised me positively! I did enjoy the game overall and it was definitely scarier than I anticipated. the sound design was well done and added additional tension. I also see a lot of potential with this type of storyline, it just needs to be fleshed out a little more. the puzzles were interesting and never too hard to solve. I see this game as an ambitious indie project with room for improvement. I did sadly encouter a glitch where I wasn't able to use my flashlight anymore, making the lack of a brightness setting even more apparent. if things like a small settings menu with sliders for brightness, mouse sensitivity and sound could be added, it would already be a much more comfortable experience. I do hope the devs keep improving this project in the future! as for right now, it's a fun enough short horror experience that fans of the genre will have a good time with (if you don't mind a little glitch here and there).
