✦ AI summary

Spell Magic suffers from a lack of polish and direction in its current state, with players reporting confusing mechanics, a non-functional tutorial, and vast empty areas with little guidance on what to do. While the core concept shows promise, the game feels incomplete and unfinished, making it difficult to recommend until significant updates and improvements are made to gameplay clarity and content.

Not recommended Sep 2, 2026
Unfortunately not playable in its current state. My experience was wandering around a vast, featureless plain with very little to do, and no explanation. I did kill a monster, after walking for several minutes, but it was unclear what to do with the artifact it dropped. Then it was back to wandering around the grassy purgatory. The tutorial did not work - it certainly didn't offer any explanation of spells or artifacts. The UI leaves a lot to be desired, but this is of secondary concern compared to the complete lack of actual gameplay. I like the sound of the concept, I'll give it another go and update the review if the game is ever finished properly.
