You can choose the default relaxing option, which allows you to complete a puzzle for as long as you want, or you can make things more difficult by limiting the time and moves. I recommend that you stick with relaxed because the game has parts that require you to make the correct moves. The main gameplay consists of solving match-3 puzzles. This means you must swap adjacent objects and try to get at least three identical objects in a row or column to remove them from the board. By swapping four or more, a power-up appears, allowing you to blow up a small area or even entire rows and columns. The series is recognized for introducing new elements with each successive edition. There are already many components from past games, such as cannons, ladybugs, keys, blocks that must be blasted with bombs, etc. Most elements can be activated or moved across the grid by making a match directly next to them. "Spellarium 6" is a great match-3 game with emphasis on minigames (solitaire, Mahjong, hidden object games and find the differences). It runs flawlessly and it will stimulate your brain! A very tricky match-3 with power-ups and unique ways to solve the puzzles. The levels themselves are hard but leave an impression and above all they are fun. So you will be glad it wasn't a piece of cake that required no thinking and ended in 10 minutes. The visual effects, animations and music will help a lot in keeping you calm and focused on the task at hand. If you are stuck, you can use the hint system, which I find very good, comprehensive and helpful. On top of that, they have added a beautifully crafted grimoire as help. It will keep you busy for hours but without overstaying its welcome and you can always replay it due to its nature. Featuring different modes, minigames and building your town! This game keeps pushing the boundries of the genre by providing a new challenge in its puzzles, the Iron Box. One of the most fun and intriguing match-3 puzzle games out there. The gameplay is serviceable, but most of the game texts are missing for some reason. I originally bought this game elsewhere, and the other version doesn't have this bug. The gate mechanics which could be frustrating in Spellarium 5 have been tweaked to reduce the frustration factor. The mechanics of the new iron boxes to scoot around aren't necessarily intuitive and will take some trial and error to figure out. Still a ton of minigames in between levels to where it feels like a mixed-genre game at times instead of a puzzle-M3.
