January 1988, in a secluded place in the heart of Chic-Choc Mountains, Quebec.
An avalanche tears apart the luxurious ski lodge known as Spirits’ Creek. The place is isolated from the world, prisoner of a storm with seemingly no end in sight. Émile Arsenault, the owner-founder, attempts to find his daughter who vanished during the events – but the hotel is riddled with monstrous creatures and inexplicable events.

The setting and atmosphere are convincing enough and the music and sound design are great! Love the segments with the Beast too! Sure, some mechanics and animations could be polished, but as a game made by students in such a short time frame, it really holds up! I'd definitely recommend checking it out!2 found this helpful
"Spirits' Creek" is one of literally thousands of student projects infesting Steam. It's from Campus ADN in Quebec. While student projects tend to be better quality than most "amateur" made games, we must still question what value such projects have for gamers. As with all student projects, this isn't really a fully fleshed out game, it's just the result of an academic exercise, and as such it has much more limited value as a game than a professionally developed game would have. Educational institutions should not be using Steam as a dumping ground for homework assignments (especially if the students didn't even pass the course). Sure, it helps their marketing and helps the students feel good about themselves, but this is another case of a business putting themselves before the needs of gamers. This is a French-Canadian student project where you follow a father's desperate search for his daughter in a hotel filled with mysteries after an avalanche, including fighting a blood-thirsty Beast and unveiling the secrets of the Arsenault family, all phrased in the format of an ultimately short and shallow third person adventure format with a console-esque design bent.
