After gettin acquainted with the controls the game does feel an old Resident Evil title. Was havin' a solid title tearin thru whatever the beasts were at the start. I didn't like that the escape button takes you completely out of the game. Ouch. Also wasn't a fan of bein' able to completely walk off the screen. Theres no way to see your chracter make it back to the screen. Most games prevent this from happenin'. That sour th experince for me. Still I plan to pick it back up again now that I know it's a possibility. I do like that it has voice overs and the atmosphere is quintessential 90s. I'll thumb it up. Spiritus 2 is a weird bit of console ported (Xbox) shovelware that failed so hard on PC, not least of which from being a godawfully bad console port. This is a third person horror shooter ripping off the dated gameplay of Alone in the Dark and Resident Evil... only worse in all respects. From a technical perspective, the game doesn't meet basic minimum requirements that most PC gamers expect as standard. Because this is designed for consoles, it carries a number of deliberate design deficiencies. Compromises were made to cater to the inferior console gaming appliances that the game was designed for. These are unfortunate compromises and limitations that PC gamers shouldn't be forced to accept, but it's evident that PC was a second thought for the console-centric developers. The game is deficient as a result of these choices, and would have been so much better without the handicaps that designing games for consoles forces upon a game. Once more, console peasants have made gaming worse for everyone. The graphics aren't great, in fact they're terrible. Despite having 4K support, the game assets are pixelated and roughly 720p in resolution... no upscaling, low poly models... …
