I wish there were an option for a neutral rating, because this game isn’t terrible; it’s just hard to recommend in its current state. the best way to describe it is that it tries to capture the atmosphere of Blair Witch Project or Slender, but it falls short. there’s a lot of backtracking (usually walking, as running makes noise, and noise is bad), and the jumpscares lose their edge quickly and become more irritating than scary. puzzles are generally easy, but not without issues. one is hard to read due to poor color contrast, and I ran into a couple of bugs (not gamebreaking, but annoying nonetheless). one more major frustration is that you can't turn off the VHS filter. it adds visual noise, which does admittedly add to the experience, but it would be nice to have an option to disable, as it gave me a headache, and I'm not usually super sensitive to those things. it's especially bad on the background of the menu/inventory screen. on top of that, a certain event triggers what’s basically a screen-wide flashbang - pretty brief, but super bright and disorienting, especially in contrast to the rest of the game. This game was very fun to play. It was difficult not to speak to chat while playing this game lol. I like that no game is the same and its a different experience every time. Other than some minor bugs, like being attacked even though i was in shelter and some rendering issues, i give this game an 8/10

Is 100% a game worth checking out for only a few bucks or like in my case, free key. The jump scares are good but you do get use to them after a few deaths. I do like the fact for every play through the items are in different spots so you can't really "speed run" the game. Was a little annoying finding the alchemist house and right as I got all the items and had to place the last one I could not figure out how to get away from the witches. But over all will give this a thumbs up and a good 7/10
