Splat Arena

Probably the worst top down shooter I've ever played The screen effect isn't cool, its annoying as hell. You have to kill EVERY. SINGLE. ENEMY. EVEN IF YOU ALREADY GOT THE KEYCARD TO PASS THE LEVEL the maps are filled with darkness and the flashlight doesn't work so you are stuck just guessing where enemies are or looking at a stupid tiny arrow next to your healthbar to try and find them speaking of the maps, i ended up getting stuck on bad collision sometimes. Atleast theres a variety of guns to use, if you want to beat this I highly recommend getting the P90, as that thing is a bullet hose and bullets actually block other bullets in this game, so it makes the game way easier. A leveling system is interesting but my levels wouldn't save sometimes so i lost access to guns I previously had. Atleast the achievements work, although 1 used to be bugged. This game just sucks, but I can tell there was an attempt. Not a good one however, I'd save your money. $2.59 for this is such a ripoff when a game like POSTAL is free. Got it for free and want a refund.

Splat Arena is a construction kit copy + paste game. The "developer" used the craptastic GameMaker Studio video game construction kit, copying + pasting and arranging premade assets, using premade level design tools so they could pretend they're an actual game developer. It's worth noting that the developer has had multiple games banned from Steam already and it's quite remarkable Valve have let a few like this one slip through. It's not clear what the crime was, obviously being terrible quality doesn't count, because Valve doesn't care about that. Sentinels of the Store seems to suggest it's for review manipulation, but whatever the reason, bad games from unethical developers being removed from Steam is always good for gamers. A strong argument can be made that construction kits like GameMaker Studio should never be used to make games for profit, as the "developer", StarSystemStudios has done here. These construction kits are intended to teach people some of the basic principles of game development, and to make small demos to pass around with friends. They're not intended to replace to actual work of real, professional game developers. So it's inappropriate when amateurs …

Great game, provides a satisfactory feel, while being difficult and enjoyable at the same time, this games provides the perfect experience, would highly recommend it

Never played Hotline Miami but this gives me vibes of it. I don't like that you need to kill every enemy on the map in order to advance but in rest the game is okay to play.
