A game this new shouldn't fail to launch on a brand new ROG G700.
Makes you confirm yourself using email verification code before EVERY time it starts up. Which makes it impossible to use VR mode because this verification wasn't made VR compatible, it doesn't work in any way with the VR headset connected, no controls of any kind work at all on this screen. In game VR mode switcher does not work because A) If you start in desktop mode it can't figure out the headset, or B) if you start in SteamVR you are trapped behind a desktop-only startup verification screen that happens every startup even if you clocked Remember This Device. Kind of a nightmare to figure out my HOTAS setup compared to using the same sticks on XBox and having proper symbols displayed. The dev created glyphs for these specific sticks, and didn't include them in this version. So again, if you want to enjoy VR, you're going to have to do everything in desktop mode first so you can inspect your sticks to identify button numbers constantly. So after playing this on XBox vs Steam I would say don't buy this. Get it on disc for XBox One or Series. Don't waste any money getting it for VR.
I would have just deleted my review, because I figured out how to do some things I had previously complained about. Won't let me.
I Love this game. ... One day I'll get to play it in VR! So far, I've got it working through Crossover on my Mac Mini. It works great. I added a PlayStation controller. Recently, I got it for our PlayStation 5 and I got the ThrustMaster HOTAS 5 flight sticks. It's Awesome! It's a HUGE improvement on control. I Highly recommend getting a HOTAS.
Nice storyline...filling in some of the post-Endor Imperial / New Rebublic characters & their experiences. Customisation is great...sometimes game does't credit XP / Glory points for some reason which means replays...can be annoying on difficult missions. Crossplay seemingly has never worked so poor for a game of this size...have to set up a custom game w/a passcode & then friends can search for you. Nice looking game & hey its Star Wars so got our vote!
I like star wars and it is fun.
