Frankly, I know that this game was not totally well received, but its great. Its smooth, and still retains the classic elements from the old originals - good and bad.3 found this helpful
Singleplayer was great especially after updates sad it's dead2 found this helpful
If into the Classic Collection you go, only pain will you find - Master Yoda. I played other Aspyr Slop Re-releases, and I read the negative reviews here, and I was stupid enough to actually think "it doesn't sound that bad". And I was right, it's not as bad as the reviews make it out to be, it's way worse in every respect! Calling this collection "kinda bad" is about on par with saying "Episodes 7, 8, and 9 were just kinda bad". You have no idea the slop that awaits. It's clearly been abandoned, and Aspyr has moved on to its next cash grab. This is a blatant asset flip (only this time the asset is already 2 fully packaged games); they literally added nothing more than achievements and cards. For everything else, you'll have a better experience playing the original 2 games instead, because these 2 versions are objectively worse! The only harsh truth you need to deal with is that you're running out of time to buy the original two games before Disney pulls them from Steam the same way they pulled Dark Forces to force people to buy the rereleased slop version. Aspyr had 1 job here, just 1! Release these two games in at least the same working state as the originals or better (wh…1 found this helpful
buy the old games this is a money grab1 found this helpful
I like the idea of this pack, it is also nice to play the games at a native resolution above 1080p! I would only recommend this on sale or you just need some Battlefront in your life. the issues I am having as it stands are: 1: You cannot change button mapping on zooming? for some odd reason whenever you change the Zoom button it just stops working? how is this happening? 2: 2 player split screen? really? the OG Xbox version had 4 player split screen.... which is odd seeing as this version has a lot of things that version had. 3: the menus are console versions, they suck on pc, you have to click on everything instead of just hitting enter like on the OG versions. For ease of use and a base experience this is a decent game and works great on the Steam Deck! however as a complete package I find it lacking and requiring some touch ups to the UI, button mapping and lack of features now 20 years old.1 found this helpful
