Stars Force is a basic game construction kit/template/tutorial flip for making a simple 2D retro pixel bullet hell game using NW.js. It's been dumped on Steam as a lazy cash grab by copy+paste game "development" enthusiasts, Trinity Project, who make a living of copying and pasting things onto Steam, then selling the keys to shovelware sites like DailyIndieGame. I'm pretty sure I've played a couple of arcade bullet hell shmups using this exact same game template, and every time it's a terrible experience. This is just asset flip cash grab garbage and should be avoided.

I really hate doing this, because this game has some potential I think. So here goes. The title screen and menu screens are a bit generic looking - but that's not too big of a deal because I do realize that this is an amateur type indie game and to be honest I probably couldn't have made it look any better but anyways.. The sound is pretty good, the music is catchy and has a good beat and isn't too annoying. The tracks are not really memorable and seem to loop too quickly. The music tracks don't change until you are through at least 5 levels so they can tend to get repetitive. The sound effects themselves are OK. I am pleased that there are no screeching annoying sounds or some person saying "power up" in some terrible voice for every item you get at least. The controls, they are actually not bad at all. I do like shmups that can have the firing rate increase based upon the speed of you mashing the button. This game is not programmed for a controller it says but I was able to use it with my Xbox 1 controller just fine except for using the analog stick because it acts more like a d-pad then anything analog. But that's understandable. So far nothing seems to be really b…

Its a very barebones shmup where you'll max out your weapon quickly and see everything the game has to offer in a couple levels. You can beat the game in about 40 minutes. Its not really a bad game, but it just gets repetitive quickly as the levels tend to feel like I'm on a conveyor belt and a lot of the sections repeat over and over. Boss fights were decent though, wish there were more of them.
