While ship upgrades and consumables provide some interesting tactical choices, acquiring new ship hulls only expands some capabilities that are needed for progression. However, production quality is at a fair level. 5.5/10 A casual game where you shoot Tetris shapes and also collect coins in a 3D racing tunnel Good: - it can be played with the mouse only or with keyboard only - music is nice - there is a metagame with ship upgrades that gives a sense of progress So-so: - simple stock audio - the gameplay seems varied at first. There are basically 3 game modes that go in a cycle here: 1) pick a Tetris shape, rotate it to the correct orientation and shoot it upwards to match the shape on an incoming asteroid, 2) fill up a small irregularly shaped area with Tetris pieces, 3) fly in a 3D tunnel that has obstacle and collectibles. However, each of these minigames is pretty simple and gets boring soon. - in the 2 Tetris minigames, the challenge is simply the controls that are overwhelming. Unlike in usual Tetris where you'd have just 2 actions (move left/right and rotate), here you have 4 actions (move the ship, pick a shape, rotate a shape, shoot a shape), each with its own controls. I tried this game when it was released last summer. It was too slow and repeated itself. But this latest release makes game so much better that I stuck playing it. It seems that there are special stages and some kind of missions. Hopefully there are lots of them. The new auto-shoot equipment makes shooting asteroids much easier and the pace of game is faster. I need to play more!

A fun and unusual mix of shooting and "Tetris" style puzzle action set in a rogulelite outer space, select your ship, starting planet and destroy the blocks with your puzzle pieces, clear the planets perfectly for a bonus. Collect minerals and earn gold to upgrade your ship with abilities like freeze time and missiles. After each planet cleared you have to dodgy spikey bombs in a hyperspace to the finish, collect all the secret canisters to either use them as freeze time or sell them for gold. There are also black hole stages where you dodge asteroids and collect minerals, the stages get faster and faster and you have limited shields. There are also planet puzzle sections where perfect solving earns you a big bonus. Your ship upgrades and gold are kept for each play through so font worry if you die or get blown up I should say, you can start again and work your through the many galaxies and planets available. Graphics are simple and colourful and suit the game style, a "Retro" look would be appropriate. Sound and music are also good. For the bargain price of only £2.49 I highly recommend this to any puzzle fans out there!
