About Steampunk Idle Spinner

Steampunk Idle Spinner is the game in which you can build incredible mad science contraptions and spectate them spin and earn money! The game has mines, cogwheels, balloons, electric field generators, vapor collector, portal and generates awesome vibes of exploration, construction and discovery. You will gradually unlock seven in-game worlds:Clockwork city world has expanding houses, mechanical sun and tax collectors flying on zeppelins. I got inspiration for it from Game of Thrones intro (yeah, this seems like a history, too, but finally the world is set up in the game)Floating Islands is the world where you explore new lands and transfer resources ensuring the best balanceWorkshop world is where the players are explained about the basic game concepts. Here everything revolves around the main money making machine. Also the portals to other game worlds are built here"Green steampunk" is is the original game world made in 2017, remastered. Early beta testers have warm feeling about its relaxing mechanics, also I often receive comments like "this is a favourite game of my childhood", and I'm very proud that my game brings good feelings to people :)Engineer Millionaire (Assembly Line). In this world you build a factory full of money producing machines. Outside of the factory you can mine for coal to power your steam enginesMoney Factory. Here you build a series of connected conveyor belts where machines convert lumps of copper to plates, then to disks, and then to coins. You can connect various conveyor parts, create loops and automate deliveriesUnderwater. This world is called "20 000 Cogs under the Sea", getting inspiration from Joules Verne's stories :) You mine for oxygen at the bottom of the ocean and with every upgrade your base is getting closer to the surface.

I'd give it a "Neutral" score if I could. A true classic of the idle genre, and a good one at that. It is a bit dated though, and it shows. I saw the dev asking people on reddit if we'd be interested in a Steam port, to which I said yes, and here I am buying it and playing it since it brought back a lot of good memories from my childhood, but it's a bit sad that it was ported as-is from the mobile version. The UI leaves a lot to be desired for a PC game, it feels like I'm playing an emulator, and it's not a particularly cute or user friendly one. The Buying menu should be locked to open, or at least let us choose if it closes or not. The buttons at the top need some art work; Same for the Travel menu; Screenshot button should be deleted since Steam has a built-in function; All the social media buttons should be removed or reworked... You get the idea, make it less of a mobile looking game. Lastly. No Achievements. I hope we get them someday. Usually I wouldn't even buy a game without achievements, but I wanted to support this dev since I played this game A LOT in the past, so I feel like I had to purchase it in exchange for all those hours, but I don't see myself playing it much…

I was liking the general idea of the game, and I think understood what it was trying to get me to do ... but I never got it. I don't understand what the game wants me to do -- or even how to do it -- and the next progression seemed locked beyond an unattainable grind level. Very little want to see what the next upgrade would get me, since I didn't understand what the upgrades I did get got me. So, not the game for me.
