About Stellar Echoes
Stellar Echoes is our initial beta release in the EA period, mainly showing the construction of spaceships, materials, lights and other performance effects under the HDRP rendering pipeline, and tested the frame rate limit of the HDRP rendering pipeline in simple planet mission mode, however there may be some compatibility issues, say "sorry" to everyone. Recently, a very bad thing happened, after thinking about it for a long time, I decided to tell you that in July 2023, all the game data of the HDRP version was destroyed and deleted, it was impossible to retrieve, which directly led to the HDRP version not continuing to update, we also brought a lot of difficulties to the development of SE's URP version. Seeing that friends all over the world are still continuing to buy our games. I have to say bad news, please be cautious when buying this version, due to this bad news means that I need to spend more time remastering. At this time I feel the same heavy as you guys.
Experienced on the Meta Quest 2
You can view my initial impressions review & gameplay here: https://youtu.be/hP93LE4-Fok I found the game to be buggy, unoptimized, with boring, repetitive combat, and boring level design. The game also has a very confusing start to the game, where you're just dropped into the game, without much instruction or guidance. You wander around the different rooms until you figure out what you were supposed to do. Once the gameplay starts, it gets worse. Enemies take a long time to kill & you basically just keep shooting them until they despawn. The gun mechanic is pretty bad. Reloads are painfully slow. The gunplay just feels bad all around. Not only is there a long time to kill, but there's a plethora of enemies. I only came across two different types of enemies, and they each had two different attacks. Game is running on the Unity Engine. On my RTX 3080, I was getting variable frame rates from 40-90 fps (it was worse in the game menu). You do have full locomotion, teleportation, and snap turning. I came across several game-breaking bugs, including falling through the map, floating in the air uncontrollably, enemies going through walls or th…18 found this helpful
The entire game is very creative, with a grand background and scenes that are rarely seen in VR games. The decryption of the first level in the big space is quite shocking, and it feels like we have really gone to a different planet, which has a sense of immersion compared to movies. The battle in the second level is also very interesting. There are really many types of monsters and various skills, which also have a strong sense of impact. Combined with music, I really enjoyed playing it very much. The game is still a bit difficult, looking forward to new decryption and monsters after clearance, and also hoping that the game can continue to update and add more interesting levels.3 found this helpful
Game is almost unplayable. Graphics look good but terribly bad performance. I have a fairly decent equipment setup. Will post specs below. Took me 20 minutes to just get off the ship and actually begin playing because of the bad performance. Immediately after spawning on the planet I fell through the world and died. Then 2nd spawn in and my gun fell through the world and could not get it back. Third spawn I managed to kill some enemies. After running out of ammo could not load ammo after ejecting magazine. That's when I said screw it and gave up. I later tried lowering resolution and playing with my other headset. Tried raising cpu priority. Tried everything to make this play better with no luck. I could see this being a good game with some bug fixes, optimization and some options for graphics settings maybe. But as it is I can't play it. Got it for $1.99 and still not worth it in its current state. SPECS: Ryzen 9, 3060ti, 32gb ram, ssd, Pico 4 and Quest 2.2 found this helpful
