It had potentials, but when sales wasn't up to expectation the dev chose to leave (his own actual statement)... nice one... Won't be buying anything from this developer in the future!8 found this helpful
Full disclosure, I am a freelance writer who was brought in after the game was out to write the story line and side quests. So I won't review any of those aspects, and if you hate the story that's on me. I don't even know if the designer is aware I ended up buying this, but here I am. To be clear, I get zero money from sales of this, so don't view this as an attempted cash grab. I really enjoy this game. It took me a bit to get the hang of, as I haven't really played a game like this before. But once I did I loved it. It's a good mix of long chill periods spiced up with bouts of combat. The color palette is pleasing, the over aesthetic is nice, and music sets a good tone for what the designer was going for I think. I'll be starting my second run at tomorrow (starting over now that I have a better idea of whats what), and I look forward to getting in deeper. Worth the money in my, admittedly, biased opinion.1 found this helpful
NO
Simple and relaxing, would recommend
I enjoy this game and hope it gets more love. Love the atmosphere and concept of the game overall! The different victory paths are neat and satisfy different styles of play, I think conquering/pirating should perhaps have a bit more consequences or some kind of event where stronger enemies attack you. Feels like once you get on a roll with cannons and equipment it's hard to be stopped/challenged.
