The search goes on for the best arcade 'street basketball' game on PC. Look elsewhere, cause this ain't it. The small price tag (according to steamdb's page for this game the lowest being $3.06usd) still doesn't make this worth it. There's no in-game settings. No button remapping. AI teammates are motionless. Steam achievements are broken. No difficulty options. No customization. There's hardly much at all in this, sadly :/ Even though it's not strictly a 'street basketball' game, I would absolutely recommend Basketball Classics (which I have already reviewed here, by the way) over this one for a number of reasons: 1) Appealing retro style 2) Better skill expression 3) More features 4) Nearly the same on-sale price tag 5) Same 3 button gameplay If you really insist on it being 'street' basketball, then I'd still recommend Freestyle 2: Stre…3 found this helpful
I really like the look of the game. Id def recommend it. My complaints are much like the others. I think the computer doesnt miss enough. I wish my teammate actually guarded people. lol Cool game though.1 found this helpful
This game is really terrible. It's like unbranded NBA jam, and nobody ever misses. Robodunk is a better game doing a similar thing.1 found this helpful
I was intrigued to see a basketball game with such a unique gameplay and art style, the game is fun however I do have a few suggestions. 1. Improve shooting: Shooting is just too easy for both the CPU and users, it's hard to miss. 2. Add more mechanics: The game is fun and all but it is too straight forward with the mechanics, I feel like maybe one or two more would be nice. Something like a simple dribble move could make the game a lot more intuitive. 3. Add more game modes: The I was able to play all of the game modes within an hour of purchasing. Not bad, I just with there were more things to do in the game. 4. Improve defense: PLEASE DO, defense in this game is atrocious, steals are easy to get when you get the hang of it, but they harder to get when facing a fast enough team. Also it is so easy to turn the ball over on inbounds. blocks are satisfying when you get them but are incredibly hard to time. Contest don't do anything to affect shot accuracy. It's like defense from the CPU is OP at times but for the user is lack luster, and difficult to be good at.
MANN!! This game is super fun. Must play for those who want a fast pace sports game. Not the stats and money garbage money trash. Cant what for there next project!
Yes, I would like recommend StreetStep: 21st Century Basketball for everybody.
