Go online with up to four players in competitive multiplayer over Steam or skirmish offline against computer-controlled opponents.
Created exclusively for Steam, Stronghold Legends: Steam Edition comes with full Steam multiplayer, achievements, new maps, a digital art book, trading cards and all DLC campaigns. The Steam edition also updates Legends with full Steam Workshop support! Remembering this blast from the past. The time when Stronghold wanted so bad to be "Battle for Middle-Earth". Wanted so bad that focused too much on being a more streamlined type of RTS and forgot it's essence, that being a castle sim. Castle life is completely gone on this one. No more sheep because there's no more cloth for the Lady's dresses, because there's no more balls (dancewise) nor Lady. The boy pages that assisted her are also gone, as is that lady cook that they too helped, because there are no more feasts. The list of foregone things go on. Gone is the jester! They went too far. That said I still love this game for what it is, rather than hate it for what it's not. In a perfect world we could have had the depth of "Stronghold 2" married with "Legends" fantasy, but I suppose one can only wish upon a star that one day they revisit the idea. OG and "Crusader" — hallowed be their names — are still the pillars of the franchise, but the other games still deserve much love.1 found this helpful

ive played this franchise since it came out. i forgot all about this instalment, just bought it on sale and loveing it
