About Subway Exorcist Girl

"Subway Exorcist Girl" is a small-scale suspenseful horror game developed by a single person, inspired by "Exit 8". The game features elements of "roguelike" randomness.*(Due to the game being developed with RPG Maker MV, the controls and interactions may feel somewhat "stiff" or "rough" and may not have the smoothness and natural flow of a Unity engine game. Please note this, and only consider purchasing if you're willing to accept these aspects.)女》QQ group:733120550

Game Features

 • The game has certain random elements, and you cannot predict the terrifying phenomena you will encounter next. Each death and rebirth presents you with completely different crises, and your previous exploration experience cannot help you or provide a sense of security. The randomly occurring horror phenomena and monsters add to the fear.
 • Players must identify all abnormalities and find a way to eliminate them, ensuring that they do not overlook anything in order to safely reach the end. Otherwise, they will be continuously killed and reborn by an indescribable unknown evil force.
 • Based on the gameplay of horror suspense and light roguelike elements, the game features a certain level of narrative and character development. The dark, eerie atmosphere of the subway is filled with the unknown and mysteries. Players explore and interact with various characters, monsters, and anomalies to gain an immersive role-playing experience and narrative insights.
 • The game will showcase refreshing monster designs and bizarre horror imagery, aiming to create a strong psychological horror atmosphere and incomprehensible terrifying scenes.
With the continuous arrival of the unknown and surprises, do you dare to challenge?

Given the price, it's not really worth it. The "puzzles" contained in each level and the twists for some of the ghosts are neither difficult nor exciting, nor is there a need to use any of the special talismans to deal with any of the ghosts except for one in particular. The few characters you're introduced to aren't very interesting either, as they're purely there for plot exposition. The tutorial implies that you might have to deal with 2 abnormalities at one point, but up to now, I've managed to get every achievement, and encountered every abnormality outside of the red one with multiple hands seen in one of the game's screenshots, and yet this has never happened. On that note, there's not much variety at all when it comes to abnormalities. One playthrough, even without deaths, is enough for all of them with the exception of the one I mentioned. The horror element is also not well executed. Regardless of how you die, all you get is a blue screen with the same message, or occasionally some flavortext that fails to be horrifying in any way, and this is coming from someone who is particularly weak with horror. Disappointingly, some of the abnormalities, such as
Moon[/s…

Sorry but not for me. PS. Also, please always QC, test, and fix the UI/UX before publishing. It's very unprofessional.

Alright game. Very short but enjoyable.
Wish some of the talismans were useful, I never found a use for anything other than the lightning talisman. I should have just kept the basic talismans that were given in the beginning
A short and fun game. Art is good and the environment is nice to explore. Story and puzzles are also quite enjoyable. The game has some problems like control jank and rough translations such as text spacing and weird wording (i play using english translation), but it doesn't really ruin my enjoyment while playing. For a solo dev game, it's definitely worth a try.

Kinda interesting tbh. It feels like it’s full of good ideas, but at the same time you can tell the dev was working solo, which doesn’t really help when making a game. It’s not a bad game at all — it’s more like a game with real potential. Stuff like
Mio as a character, her emotional backstory with Moon, and the critique of the idol industry and its messed-up consequences are honestly pretty cool
. The puzzles aren’t super hard or deep, but you can clearly see the effort the dev put into them. That said, there are some issues that really hurt the experience imo: - Movement feels awful, the character is way too slow and it straight up kills the flow. - The story is kinda generic overall and never really becomes that engaging. -
The clown section is basically just RNG, which sucks gameplay-wise
, even if the idea itself is interesting. And the cockroaches are super underwhelming compared to the other creatures you meet — they don’t really stand out at all.

The game shows a lot of promise; unfortunately, due to a repetitive "Width"-related error encountered during one of the screens I was unable to play the game and requested a refund. The developer is aware of this bug, listed under the Discussions tab. I would still recommend picking it up and trying it within the 2 hours limit to ensure there are no technical issues. It's a great game with a unique premise; I wish gameplay was flawless :)
