About Super Hyperactive Ninja

Get ready to tune up your coffee-ninja skills, you will need them in this hardcore platformer!

Super Hyperactive Ninja is a fast-paced hyper-caffeinated action-platformer in 2D, designed with those who want a real tough challenge and speedrunners in mind.

The evil Shogun has stolen all the coffee from the secret ninja village of Kohinomura, recover it before you fall asleep!

You will play as Kohimaru, the last of the Coffee-Nin, to defeat the Shogun's army of evil ninjas and samurai, and his great yokai generals.

Save your fellows and recover the Legendary Coffee, which it's said to grant infinite energy to the one who takes it whole without milk.

Use the power of caffeine to enter Hyperactive Mode, to run faster and kill enemies, but use it wisely! You won't be able to change direction while in Hyperactive Mode, and it drains your energy faster.

Your energy is limited, and must be recharged with the coffees you find in the levels. If you run out of caffeine, it's GAME OVER!

Race against your cruelest enemy: SLUMBER!
 • More than 50 levels of fast paced hyperactive action
 • Difficult and challenging, but fair
 • Speedrun friendly
 • Discover new ways to play and secret paths using the unlockable items and characters
 • Hidden 2-player fighting mode
 • Guest characters from awesome indie games
Super Hyperactive Ninja
Ninjas and coffee? Maybe it isn't historically accurate, but it sure as heck makes sense. Ninjas are always flipping out and stuff, and they don't seem to ever slow down. If the cut-scenes are any indication Super Hyperactive Ninja draws a large part of its inspiration from the iconic Megaman series at least in its story and presentation, with a story centered in the year "15XX" and a nostalgic opening that should be familiar to any fans of the Blue Bomber. The retro similarities end there though, as Hyperactive Ninja has an entirely unique and hectic mechanic that makes it a fresh and modern platforming experience.
Gameplay
Super Hyperactive Ninja is all about going fast, it's all about taking a chug of that sweet caffeine and charging through a maze of obstacles at break-neck speed. It's not as simple as just running through, however. You'll need the coffee to get yourself amped up first, and plenty of armed Shogun baddies will be blocking your path so plan your caffeine/fuel usage accordingly. This is a fast game, so fast that you won't get a chance to stop and breathe while utilizing your hyperactive mode…

idk.... one of the most hardest 2d platformers, nice style, but it's simply not enough fun....

Original platformer combined with runner - you keep switching the gameplay through levels. Gets difficult pretty soon and it's not as fluid as other difficult platformers. Overall an ok game.

This is your standard platformer however springing from wall to wall or jumping higher are dependent on a trigger you hold down to speed your ninja up as long as you've collected enough coffee cups thorugh the level (game over when you run out of caffiene) Gameplay is pretty bad in a new way that I haven't seen bad and since the hyperdrive gimmick turns SHN into a runner it entails memorizing level layouts and where exactly to stand before activating your hyperdrive less you head off in the wrong direction or over the side of a ledge It reminded very much trying to play something like Dukes of Hazard Barnbusters with a crippled lethargic ninja, instead of the General Lee, in a broom closet https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=keQPZ9g0fvY

One of the, if not THE worst game I've ever played. Everything about is terrible, most of all though is the controls but the actual level design would've been designed better by a toddler. Something went terribly wrong
