30 years ago, a remote laboratory researching black matter and dark energy had a complete system meltdown, causing it, and the surrounding forest & village to become affected. Back then the government sent in agents to survey the destruction and to check for survivors. They were never seen or heard from again. Eventually the government sent agents to contain any possible infection, sealing off the area and warning any remaining residents to never enter this place.
Today, 30 years later, you and your friends heard rumors of monsters roaming these woods. Rumors of shadows lurking in the woods, of eerie sounds coming from the ground… But you, my friend, are facing that danger with your friends, head on. Go my friend, prove that you are in fact, not Surrounded by monsters lurking in the dark.

The developer has come back with a major rework, and it shows their dedication to delivering a quality experience. It's an interesting story, really cheap price tag, and it's pretty spooky as well. Creepy enemies that can scare you silly and the new update provided a lot more direction than before! Thanks to the Dev for working hard to provide a better update :)9 found this helpful
I never played the original version of the game. However, I got to play the Reimagined version of the game. It was a breath of fresh air on a horror game. I played it solo the first time I tried the game. Aside from my own navigation issues in games, this game was truly amazing. The first chapter was well crafted and had amazing jump scares and chases. The story seems to be intriguing and really captures your attention. The developer got a good laugh watching me stream the game due to my navigation skills, or lack there of. All in all the game was a solid 9/10 for me and I can't wait to see what else the game has in store.3 found this helpful
I got the game when it came out and had the basic bugs. Then it got more bugs later on. I finally decided to come back seeing the news of the update and the game definitely has gotten better. The graphics are good. There isnt so many babies in buildings that it becomes nearly impossible to walk around at times. Mother though seems to be harder to escape. No matter how much you run forward even through the forest, she still chases. Only escaped her once by jumping off a cliff that she cant run down. I will say the game would do much better if you can adjust controls, sens, and have save at the check points. The game doesn't take long but it can be annoying to redo the easy parts when you can't outrun one of the monsters. I definitely think everyone should come back and retry the game now. It definitely is going to have a solid future as the devs continue to update it. At the moment though, it seems we are unable to unlock the achievements which does make things a little sad.2 found this helpful
The new update is awesome. Gameplay is smooth and there's nice graphics. There's some new monsters that are really creepy. Overall fun experience and look forward to playing it again soon!2 found this helpful
Don't waste your time and money
Its close to being good but its not that scary but the concept is there.
