decent game, ♥♥♥♥ port! 7/10 - meh port, got some bugs - using ships to sail around is buggy as hell. + auto battle feature for maps you already won - auto battle can break the game from time to time, - crashes, make sure to SAVE ALL THE TIME!!! - a little on the grindy side just waiting for items that you can then sell for gold - lacking useful hotkeys + wide variety of combat moves + only 5$ + easy to 100% achievements, takes some time tho - crashed 4 times during the last battle5 found this helpful
lazy mobile port. no volume settings, only toggles, repetitive music. windowed mode needs a full restart. can't access settings (what settings?) anywhere outside the main menu, can't even turn off music if it's getting on your nerves, and it will long before the intro is over. and it crashes all the ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥ time. horrible ui and controls. only left click, as if you're still on your phone, meaning no tooltips and multiple clicks to do anything and everything, including something as simple as repeatedly attacking an enemy or checking what an item is. the wheel zooms in/out at least but can't make the camera sit still during combat, keeps centering on whatever's going on. and I was wondering why I couldn't upgrade anything when I had the necessary resources. there's a decoration requirement too but it didn't display correctly for me. my guess is the game uses the operating system's text scaling settings, which simply breaks the ui. well done. https://steamcommunity.com/sharedfiles/filedetails/?id=3316020311 no difficulty settings, save slots only serve as separate player profiles. autosaves happen whenever and when you quit, a manual save, stored separately, can be forced by clicki…3 found this helpful

Gameplay Mechanics: 5/10 Narrative: 6/10 Graphics: 6/10 Sound and Music: 5/10 Replayability: 5/10 Innovation: 5/10 Swords and Crossbones: An Epic Pirate Story is a light, quirky tactical RPG with pirate flair. It leans more into charm and humor than deep mechanics, which can be a good or bad thing depending on what you're looking for. Think of it more as a fun side adventure than a serious tactical challenge. Gameplay mechanics are where things feel a bit undercooked. The turn-based combat is basic and lacks the strategic depth seen in other tactics games. Battles can get repetitive, and the challenge curve is uneven. There’s base-building and crew management too, but those systems are very light. Score: 5/10. Narrative brings some laughs. The story doesn’t take itself seriously and embraces a Saturday-morning-cartoon tone full of goofy characters and pirate clichés. It’s not deep, but it is amusing. Score: 6/10. Graphics are colorful and clean. The cartoony art style suits the game's mood, though the visuals can feel flat and animations are minimal. Score: 6/10. Sound and music are okay. The soundtrack fits the pirate vibe but loops quickly, and the sound effects don’t do muc…
Enough to keep you occupied for a cheap game, but I wouldn't call it "good" Crashes pretty often (remember to manual save). So far I've found it does it if: - you demolish a decoration building while at fast forwarded speed, - you capture a land and sea animal in the same battle. Pretty normal situations actually. So I'm surprised it hasn't been picked up and addressed. Keeps the mobile 'feel', by not selecting stuff sometimes even if you can see your mouse hitting it. Fat fingering simulated on pc 2022.
Repetitive and clunky but I loved it
