I'll be honest, the game doesn't make a good first impression. I actually quit playing it the first go-round. I'm not sure what made me decide to give it another try, but I'm glad I did. You have two main objectives in this game: collecting recipes and making it to the level exit. Collecting recipes is more of a scavenger hunt than completing objectives; think Super Mario Odyssey rather than Super Mario 64. The recipes are scattered everywhere: tucked away into corners, hiding at the top of cliffs, sitting on top of roofs just out of the range of your double jump, etc. In some 3D platformers from the PSX/N64 era, I liked trying to get places that I wasn't really supposed to be able to. That seems to be the intention behind some of the design of this game, considering the placement of the recipes. Basically if something exists in the world, you can land on it. Incredibly narrow ledge on the face of a cliff? Yep. Fences that end in a point? Sure. Water? Well okay, maybe not EVERYTHING; the water is instant death. But I guess cats don't like water anyway. There still is some gatekeeping. It's not as though you can just pass through walls or gates without opening them. One particula…3 found this helpful
The Adventures of Mr. Fluffykins is almost a passable 3D platformer collectathon, in many respects. But unfortunately, the save system is royally goofed. It resets your progress, unbinds your controls, and that's probably all it does, but it sounds really bad to me writing this now. So I don't think it's fair to recommend it, even if I keep playing out of my own personal enjoyment.1 found this helpful

The Adventures of Mr. Fluffykins is a one of a kind extremely inspiring, insightful, and motivational tribute to the 3D platformers with an explorer attempt of clashing into a goldbiting cat flipping the nocturnal switches off and on!!! The music is really hand-layered good and very surprised with a constrict of simple danceable tunes that are tasty to listen to as u collect those delicious recipes that make your mouth water into bundling shelves of greatness!!! The control needs a little work in repairment adjustments but its very satisfying to a slobber of effects! The jumping is very flat in unused methods and sometimes the enemies can be rugged into shards of annoyances! But thats just one negative complaint really no big deal at all!!! Accept one more negative assumption of the gratitude meter! The saving feature doesnt work half of the time and it can be very frustrating when u dont want to start over again with those pesky ants shooting raging pellets at you!!! The worlds are nice nothing ground-breaking but it does get the game into a satisfying documenting pleasure hometown trip of another 3D dimension to look forward too!!! Sound effects are a root of awakening and its n…1 found this helpful
This game is not bad at all. One thing I can't stress enough though was imo, this is NOT a good entry point for youngsters. I am 41, been playing games most of my life & had some trouble early on...1 found this helpful
Does anyone else think this game is some kind of parody/homage to 90's platformers? Surely even the developers are aware how silly and cheesy this. You're playing as a cat named Mr. Fluffykins, on a quest for recipes, with words like "rad" and "awesome" floating about. If there's one thing I like about this game, it's how big each world is. This would be more fun, though, if the controls were more responsive, and your character were faster (or at least had a separate dash move, like Spyro). Visuals are quite nice, too, though a bit lacking. Fluffykins himself looks uncanny, with detail all the way down to his bellybutton. With all that said, this game is all right, for its price. It kept me going for two hours on the first day, already. Take that how you will. Here's hoping the developers patch this game's controls in the future, or maybe move on to make an even better title. To say the least, there's tons of potential here.
