The Black Pool: Arena Survivors

The Black Pool: Arena Survivors is one of those games where I can understand the appeal almost immediately. It takes the survivors style formula and puts it into a fast sci fi arena filled with alien robots, constant enemy waves and a huge amount of build variety. I was expecting something fairly basic, but I actually found there was quite a bit more going on once I started experimenting with the different abilities and upgrades. The combat is the strongest part for me. The action gets intense pretty quickly and I have to keep moving while dealing with increasingly dangerous groups of enemies. I really liked how quickly my character can become stronger during a run because the upgrades can completely change how I approach the arena. There are abilities based around things like fire, ice, lightning, void and chaos, so I can build around a particular style or mix things together and see what works. The build system gives the game a lot of replay value. Abilities and augments can be upgraded, while device powers give me another layer of progression between runs. visuals and abilities are cool, but lack of engaging or exciting music make this super boring. Played 1 run and was over it.

This is really fun game. The abilities are cool and you also progress as you play learning new types, get new areas, and you can make your guy stronger. This would be a great game with friends. Although not sure what thats like, have not had friends to play games with in years, especially no name random steam games. None the less, solid game and a lot of fun.

I recommend giving this game a shot, the gameplay is addicting as most rougelites i know it would be a blast with friends To be fair the game lacks individual survivability making the loop feel incredibly frustrating if you get hit because you don't have many options to stay in the fight

Very fun and creative game. I especially love the elements and the potential for widely diverse builds.

i played the og and that joint was wavy, this is for people who want a taste or just dont have enough time for a full run. hella fun still. love the atmosphere and music. need a matrix collab or terminator lol
