About The Elquest | The Legend of Immortal Dremond
Dive into the story of The Elquest: The Legend of Immortal Dremond, a retro-style RPG fantasy game, and live a great adventure with lovable characters, monsters, puzzles and mysteries! What's the plot?
Something terrible destroyed the neighboring continent of Garrandia, and now the Selstizia archipelago is starting to follow the same destiny. No one knows what caused such a disaster, but finding the truth behind it could be the key to saving the world. Will the braveness of some make the difference for everyone in the land? You'll be the answer to this question! Should I fight monsters?
Fighting against monsters will be crucial to go on in your journey. They live in many places in the land and, to get rid of them, you'll need to master your fighting skills! Did someone say mystery?
During your journey you will need to find clues and solve puzzles. Some of them will allow you to find out more about the past, such as the story of the ancient wizard called Shin. Others will be great to get useful rewards. Whatever the goal, you will enjoy great challenges! Anything else?
In this game you will find a lot of comedy, funny monsters, silly characters (but still lovable) and, reaching a certain point of the story, you will be able to personalise your characters with cool (or funny) costumes! What could you want more? ...a cat? Yeah, we also have cats in this game... and even a monkey!

"The Elquest" is a very good mid-length classic old-school JRPG with turn-based (side-view) battles that I can recommend to anyone who likes these kinds of games and doesn't mind that the game was made by utilizing RPG Maker (VX Ace) software. In this game, the demon Dremond conquers the kingdom of Soharia and threatens to invade the rest of the world. Hideki, the former prince of Soharia, and his friends are forced to start a journey that takes them all over the world, following the footsteps of past heroes in order to find a way to stop Dremond. Despite a few twists, the story is pretty standard, but it's good enough to get the job done. What makes the story really shine, though, are the character dialogues between the initially spoiled, later rather naïve and idealistic go-getter Hideki, his loyal guard/sidekick – or rather "straight man" – Nice, love interest and "tomboy" Ellie and "gentleman thief" James in particular. Even though the player won't be able to prevent some tragic events, the tone is rather light-hearted in general, and many of the dialogues are funny, even outright hilarious, especially when examining objects in town, which means thorough players aren't only re…4 found this helpful
i'ts a good Story with interesting characters. I just wish the drop rate was a bit higher, even though there's a small aid available for that. :)2 found this helpful
Another bad one. Out of nowhere, you have to beat an arcade shooter to progress in a RPG. Didn't anyone think that was a bad idea? You already have an established combat system.2 found this helpful
