I wish I could recommend this game but I just don't think it was very good. I enjoyed the first game and hoped this might be more of the same but bigger. It's certainly bigger and more ambitious, but the puzzles are terrible and get worse as the game goes along. It ends up just being long frustrating sequences of use "item" (they're really more like thoughts) on object, and there might be 30-40 things you can interact with spread across multiple rooms, and then there are also different perspectives you can switch between. And to "solve" the "puzzles" you have to interact with or use a particular "item" on a particular thing in a particular perspective, and then switch perspective and do the same thing again. And then you get stuck in that particular area, and have to switch character (there are also 3 characters you can switch between later on). But the game doesn't really tell you when you've done everything you can as that character, you just get to a position where there's nothing else you can do after trying everything. What you need is to learn a new perspective by switching to one of the other characters, but the game doesn't properly instruct you in that. Anyway, I …6 found this helpful
in the first game you were driven by fear for the fate of others, for your user. now it is fear for yourself, fear of the disappearance of yourself as a personality. it's a great sci-fi story about AI, logic versus emotions and consciousness. and a nice adventure.2 found this helpful
As a game, I think there are some real issues. As a story though? A superb introspective piece about the self, others and how a shift in perspective can really be the answer to your problems. It's not a great game, it's a phenomenal story.
An excellent continuation of an already fascinating world
very good. aside from some technical issues like no separate music and sfx audio sliders, and a few bugs, it's great.
A great game that goes hand in hand with the first in the series! I just wish that a new game was on the horizon.
