About the series :

A few years after World War II, Soviet scientists began experimenting with human beings to investigate the mysteries of parapsychology. One of these experiments, conducted by Dr. Igor Lumelius, consisted of putting guinea pigs, called butterflies, under hypnosis in order to lock them into a deep sleep. Patients, lost in the maze of their sleep, had to explore every corner of their own dreams in order to find their own way out, and thus be able to wake up. Each of these experiments, all conducted in the same room with dilapidated green walls, were recorded, transcribed and carefully archived.
Only a few years ago, the world learned of the existence of these experiment, and the entire archive was made available to the general public. This series of video games offers you to relive the experiment of the Green Room.

✦ AI summary

Players appreciate The Green Room Experiment Episode 3 for maintaining the series' charming formula of visually interesting short experiences with light puzzles, making it a solid continuation for existing fans. However, some feel the episode's themed zones are less imaginative than previous installments, with certain areas like Nocturn Express coming across as clichéd rather than memorable.

I really enjoy The Green Room Experiment, the previous two episodes were visually interesting short gameplay experiences that stick in my mind (which is appropriate given the subject matter), so I was pretty excited about Episode 3. And... Episode 3 is fine. It again does have some interesting ideas and combines each zone with simple puzzles, making for another lighthearted and short entry in the series. So if you enjoyed the first two episodes, you will also enjoy this one. Unfortunately, the areas are not as interesting as in previous episodes due to them following a somewhat fixed theme this time around. Especially Nocturn Express feels incredibly cliché, which is a shame. The premise is as whacky as always and merely acts as a suggestion as to why the player navigates between the different areas. Don't think too hard about it, otherwise it will fall apart. It also doesn't really matter, if we are being honest. The music and audio design is on point. The few voiceovers appropriately add to the odd atmosphere of the game. As of the time of writing this review, there are also still a few small bugs in the game.
