I've been playing the developers games for a long time now so as soon as I heard this was released I had to buy it right away. So far they haven't made a game that I haven't enjoyed but when I first heard of The Hunter's Path I was especially curious about how it would turn out as it's really difference from Evidence Of Life and Terrene. I was fortunate enough to play a lot of this game before it was released on Steam to help identify bugs and provide feedback. I am happy to say that the devs have once again made a fun and addictive experience with The Hunter's Path. I don't do as many reviews as I should these days but I really felt like this game deserved one so here we go. • One thing that stood out to me compared to their previous works on Steam is that the game can have a really chill vibe at times. The multiple types of scenarios really allow you to decide and shape what kind of experience you want to have. If you want a heavy survival focused experience where you have a lot to worry about you have that. If you want a more chill experience where you are free to hunt and survive at your own pace you have that. If you want a more focused experience like with the scenario that …

Like this game for the most part but think there are some things that need fixing. For starters the fishing nets need increased catch chances cause with four of them i only managed to get 2 perch before they broke in a week. The animal calls are terrible and not worth the time you put in for them, they break after 2 uses and their not really effective in calling in any animals, nothing has ever shown up for me even when im hiding in blinds. Farming could possibly be good but it takes a very long time for them to actually sustain you daily, there arent any bonuses for uses soil to farm so you get the exact same amount of soy beans as just finding them in the wild, berries can drop more but its a gamble since they give so little already. Fishing is the only real good way to get food (only ever saw rabbits even with callers) but sometimes the fish can be too far for your rod to reach so you end up having to wait or spend half the day running to another pond , another problem with fishing is you need worms which you need alot of for compost bins so you end up having to pick one or the other. Also string crafting times need to be decreased, spend whole days having to craft them. All in…

The devs behind Terrene (I loved Terrene!) have released a new top-down survival game. Controls could use a touch more polish but the game mechanics are solid. Lots of crafting, farming, hunting & building to be done. My favourite feature is that it includes multiple campaigns, each favouring a different playstyle (survival, hunting, building); some endless, some story-, some challenge-based.
