The Line TD

Such a beautiful little game. I got it when it was on discount and it's really worth it. It is nothing like i expected. I think elementals are the best part of this complex yet easy to get in game. I will follow Gliding Star Games in the future, they are really promising for an indie developer.

Alrighty, strap in for a review that'll have you questioning my sanity and simultaneously craving more tower defense action than you ever thought possible. So, my buddy finally convinced me to give this tower strategy thing a whirl, and let me tell you, my strategy game has been limited to deciding whether to put socks on before or after pants. But lo and behold, I find myself immersed in this tower defense extravaganza, defending my turf against waves of pixelated baddies like a champ... or at least like a slightly overwhelmed newbie trying to figure out which tower shoots what. Now, let's talk graphics. Imagine if Picasso decided to dabble in tower defense games. Yep, that's the vibe. It's like a beautiful mess of colors and shapes that somehow make perfect sense when the action kicks in. Who needs high-definition graphics when you have this much charm? And the sound effects? Oh boy, get ready for an auditory rollercoaster. From the satisfying pew pew of your towers annihilating enemies to the occasional "Uh-oh, your base is under attack" alarm that sends me into a panic, it's a symphony of chaos that I can't get enough of. Utter garbage. Start with the path where you apparently get some say. There is really no option better then turn, then straight, then turn, then straight, ad infinidum it seem. There are six types of guns, each type has to be 1 of 4 types though, so 24 towers, sort of. The types are fire, poison, slow, and increase cash. Towers cannot be individually upgraded, but each type can be, three times. Once you pass level 30, which is pretty quick, nothing else can be upgraded. Towers also have no targeting, so there really isn't much for the player to do. Zero in the way of strategic upgrades or tactical actions. No fluff, but it's pretty bland and faceless, it wouldn't make any different. Got this for about a buck and a quarter, and it was over priced. There is also minimal replay, as nothing changes, every game should be pretty much identical. Nine thumbs down.

Fun little game for a very cheap price. I liked the turret designs.
