About The Moon 2044

A large crater on the moon houses a secret research facility for an experimental cure for cancer. For some time, its transmitting signal stopped responding, and the intervention group sent there was annihilated after a few hours of the mission.

Take control of a genetically modified commando codenamed XV-11 and try to recover priceless samples from deep inside the laboratory. The process won't be easy, as the lunar base hides many dark secrets...

"The Moon 2044" is a top down shooter game set in the dark atmosphere of a secret facility located on the moon. Using several different weapons that you will find during the campaign, you must get to the very center of the facility and complete all the objectives set by HQ of NCIS. Immerse yourself in a series of missions in the campaign, in which you will explore a huge military laboratory and face dozens of enemies at once.

I like it. The game has great pacing and the narrative is on point. I enjoyed the horror, but there could be a bit more of it.3 found this helpful
I expected a bit more horror. Enemy and environment variety isn't very big. If you like alien shooters though it's alright. Minimap would be good. Maybe more points of interest? ;)1 found this helpful
The game is awesome, graphics and sound are great. The plot is captivating, the character is well-developed. All fans of science fiction will like it.1 found this helpful
This game is okay. It has what it needs but nothing more. You play as a commando sent to a secret facility on the moon in order to collect research data and perform other tasks. The handler/narrator may as well be non-existent for the amount of intel he provides, not to mention his complete lack of personality. (Handler: "We're sending you, a space commando experienced with clandestine operations, alone to investigate a secret facility that has gone out of contact. We may or may not maybe perhaps possibly but not really suspect hostile incursion." Player: "All right. I'm in! What's my mission?" Handler: "That's classified. You don't need to know." Player: "?!?") You run, you shoot space mutants. You've got the classic weapon set (pistol, shotgun, assault rifle, sniper rifle, grenade launcher, etc). That's about it. Some levels involve hold-outs against never-ending swarms of enemies while a door opens or elevator arrives. These can be annoying since you receive no notification when the door is open enough to go through. It is reasonably priced for the overall quality ($7.79)
As far as games like this go I find this one subpar.
I highly recommend game to fans of narrative-driven games and science fiction enthusiasts alike.
