The Prince of Landis

Loved it! Short and to the point story-telling with light puzzle elements. Multiple ways to solve puzzles which played out with different consequences, which my girlfriend and i found clever ( and shocking sometimes!!!!) Loved the art, it fit the tone perfectly and the developer created a nice little immersive world. If you like story driven indie games, it's a great buy!

A short experience that flies by saddeningly quickly! The atmosphere of a small town is absolutely nailed, the characters pretty engaging despite their brief appearance, and the tale is a classic. At first I felt like this game would have taken over the internet by storm if it had an expanded storyline but then again, for what it is, perhaps its brevity is not a detriment. All in all, a good way to spend 1-2 hours, which in fact makes it feel like I watched a very comfortable and enjoyable scifi horror movie. Maybe I'm just hungry for more.

Surprisingly very good.

I'm a fan of Hyptosis' art and his games on Newgrounds, so I was looking forward to play this game. It didn't disappoint me, it was a charming little game, I liked the ending and that there were two possible ones[spoiler], I feel kinda bad for Louise though[/spoiler].

A brief narrative experience that is well your time.

A simple, short adventure game with a cool concept. It doesn’t really have the features or presentation of a fully professional project. Some standard game settings (resolutions, languages) are missing or implemented in a clunky way. There are some errors in spelling and writing here and there. Some story objectives aren’t clear. However, solutions tend to be pretty straightforward and the map is just compact enough that you can look around to find anything you need in a reasonable timeframe. The story follows a boy in rural Oregon. He’s violently bullied at school and is raised by a single alcoholic father. Near the game’s beginning, [spoiler] an alien (aka “the guest”) crashes near his place and they meet, beginning a peculiar partnership where the boy gathers supplies and food on the alien’s behalf. [/spoiler] The process of [spoiler] the guest [/spoiler] asking you for things, and you seeking them out is basically the entire game. Overall you’re sent on about 4 errands and after that the plot wraps up quickly. I completed this game blind in about 90 minutes. The aesthetics of the game are decent.
