Believe me when I say that I wanted to love this game, I really really really did! It's just a little too simple, vanilla, limited and clunky, and it reaches points where you essentially can't win. You can literally rally endless waves of units to a battle, but units self-heal so quickly out of combat that if you're against anyone with even the most basic micromanagement of wounded units and you're fighting in anything resembling a chokepoint, it's very literally an endless unwinnable stalemate that you can't get past. I've played this vs AI as matchmaking doesn't work. For context, I am a very seasoned RTS player who has been playing competitive RTS games almost exclusively for 25 years - I hover around Masters in StarCraft 2 and am platinum/diamond in Age of Empires IV, so while I'm certainly not the best RTS player on Earth, I assure you it is not a skill issue, and I know what I'm doing - it's a balance and gameplay issue in its current iteration. It's early days and early access, and so I'm hopeful it gets better, but I just struggled to want to boot this game up in its current state. I'd like to see more unit variety and versatility and way more upgrade abilities and option…3 found this helpful

Instantly lose on the easiest difficulty, not fun as it currently is right now. I wish that more RTSs can succeed but need to be more friendly to new players, and this one isn't, I hope they do change it and I can flip my rating, because it does look very good
This game ticks all of the boxes for a great RTS game. It is shaping up to be a well polished game, but do not expect an entirely bug-free experience. While I am in the process of falling in love with the game, it does need some work. It could use a bunch more maps and some general polishing.
