Charming story driven adventure game about the Bible. Art has a children's storybook aesthetic, and the character designs remind me of Double Fine's productions. The music is also top-notch and serves as an aid to the storytelling. The gameplay/puzzles are simple and straightforward; but the narrative, art, and sound design were enough to keep me playing to the end. From a storytelling standpoint, it does a great job of using symbolic imagery to drive connections the gospel thread that starts in the Garden of Eden with the temptation of Adam and Eve by the serpent and their subsequent fall. It then proceeds through three well-known stories in the Old Testament highlighting the promise of the one who would crush the head of the serpent, culminating with Jesus Christ. My favorite section of the game was the narrative of Abraham and Isaac. I felt like it was very tactfully executed, showing how the story of Abraham's sacrifice was meant to foreshadow the cross. Clearly a labor of love from the developers. Hope for more games like this!4 found this helpful
I loved this game as a phone game, and now it's finally ported to PC! I'm giving this to all my nieces and nephews! It's such a peaceful, beautiful expression of hope!3 found this helpful
This game is absolutely lovely. The art, the music, the voiceover are all great, and even though the stories are all very familiar, they still manage to be compelling and affecting. This is a very relaxed way to explore the stories of the Bible, and anyone even remotely interested in these stories or simply a restful game experience would do well to play this game.3 found this helpful
My 6 year old son finished this game. He said "I like it, it's a pretty fun game". "It's my favorite computer game because it's about God. I think the music and presentation is great, and as a father it is nice to hear my son playing something that has a positive and true message. Highly recommended.2 found this helpful
Beautiful gameplay, lots of different mechanisms that get more complex as the game goes on. Story is easy enough to follow. Fun to have little gimmicks to interact with on the way. I loved the bit where you walk with Abraham as the seasons change, that clearly gets across the message of it being a long wait! The music and the few songs really add to the story. Enjoying so far!1 found this helpful
What a great game. Great art, music and voice. Story is the greatest ever told so what more could you ask for. I would for sure recommend this to anyone. Gameplay is on the easier side for a younger audience but still enjoyable by all.
