About The Smurfs - Mission Vileaf
In a dusty grimoire, the wizard Gargamel just put his hands on the formula of an evil plant: the VILEAF.

PAPA SMURF decides to ask some of his fellow Smurfs to help him find the ingredients for a super powerful antidote for all the plants sick from the VILEAF.
Played on a Steamdeck @MatureContent
I have had the Smurfs collection on my to do list for a while, as I never really felt like playing it. It however turned out to be surprisingly fun. The story goes like this. Gargamel has found some sort of evil plant formula thing that is infecting the forest and entrapping the Smurfs. To save their home, Papa Smurf has put a team together to combat this new threat by mixing together an antidote. Your job is to spray this antidote around the infected parts of the forest using the Smurfizer and saving all of the lost Smurfs. The whole story is told in a fairytale like style with everything being divided into chapters in a book and told to you as you progress by a narrator. As you progress through the game and save more and more trapped Smurfs, you unlock new and better Smurf equipment to handle more obstacles and help heal the world faster. There are 3 difficulties to choose from, I chose the middle one and it was pretty easy, so the hardest shouldn't be that challenging. All dialogue is fully voiced and there is just the right amount to not end up feeling annoyed by it…11 found this helpful
cute game but kinda annoying to play lol4 found this helpful
Honestly better than i thought it would be. It has some flaws and bugs but its overall pretty solid for a licensed game.1 found this helpful
If your monitor is higher than a 60fps refresh rate, the Smurfs will not jump high enough or glide long enough to complete the game. Locking my monitor into an eye-bleeding 30fps and forcing vsync didn't help. Couldn't make it through the tutorial (which is several levels long) because I grew tired of watching Brainy Smurf plummet to his death repeatedly. He just won't jump high enough because this game has janky last gen console port written all over it.
Surprisingly fun and occasionally challenging 3D platformer.
The Smurfs: Mission Vileaf

Time Played:
2.3 Hours
Last Played:
22nd of April, 2026

Seeing as how the date was Earth Day, and I slept through over half of it, I wanted to delve into something as soon as possible. No Place Like Home, and Fresh Start seemed to not be entirely-spring-like, and Before We Leave, only tangentially-related. Thus, given I doubt my foggy, groggy [s]Christmas[/s] state was even slightly capable of grasping Equilinox, I instead opted to go into the less complex of the two remaining options, with the hope it would be another unexpected, smash hit like the previous mostly-unknown Belgian-Comic-based game I played. Unfortunately, that was not the case, and I suggest those incensed at my dismissing a “family” game to read all of it before rating/commenting (As everyone should for literally everything, as later information included in the same document may invalidate/alter any comments, or sentiments had.).
Yay:
+ Very colourful, and looking fantastic on my OLED Monitor. + Once you get the ability to do so, clearing out patches of infection was a very-satisfying-to-me occurrence. …
