"The Tale of Doris and the Dragon - Episode 1" is a classic style point-and-click adventure game. We play as Doris in limbo, trying to pass to the other side? Or maybe, there is more than meets the eye?.. Why her case differs? I won't spoil this for you; but you will fast figure this one out. This is the first episode of the adventure series and the second is out as well. It isn't particulary lenghty but it's quite smart! There is a lot of fun to be had here! The puzzles are clear, witty and humorous; just like the dialogues. Cartoonish characters and artstyle make up for its grim theme. Very basic point-and-click mechanics and dialogue options. What isn't basic, is the mix of ideas and how they are implemented. It's strangely serene and the ambient sounds along with the monotonous backgrounds, help with making you feel calm in an unfinished world.. A purgatory.. Limbo.. A cute little adventure game segment. I completed it in just over an hour, but it's less than the price of lunch.

A very charming short game. It takes roughly 30 minutes start to finish for this chapter and this is with all dialog options. Easy on the achievements as well, however you may need to start over in case you missed one. Overall If you want a short story this is the first chapter. Chapter 2 is available as well.
