The Tavern of Magic

Tavern of Magic is an Early Access Free to play VR game that needs more work. It worked on my HTC Vive system, looked ok, played ok, sounded ok. Not sure if the current game is the whole thing. Sign in game says it is in Early Beta. Didn't see how to modify card deck. Very hard to use all the cards in a fight. Game released in 2018, so maybe this game is abandoned and unfinished, full of empty promises. Has 19 steam achievements, not sure if you can do all with the current game. This is a Multiplayer game, but nobody is playing. You can play against bots. There is no instructions or tutorial. Try this game maybe, but not worth downloading.

"The Tavern of Magic" is an abandoned Early Access attempt to make a mobile app scam card game where the objective is to buy cards in the cancerous mobile app-like cash shop the developer infested this P2W trash with. But it seems they didn't have the talent to actually make a complete game. What do you do in the game? Nothing, there's no players because it's an abandoned cash grab. The developers abandoned this 6 years ago. It will never be completed. This unfinished game is just polluting Steam and making it harder for gamers to find genuinely, completely made games. The graphics aren't great, and look like they're just stolen off various asset stores (is anyone surprised that yet another shady dev wanted YOUR money for someone else's game assets?). That's understandably be turn off for a lot of gamers, and it's a big contributor to the failure of the game to attract gamers despite having no up-front cost. Gaming is a primarily visual medium, and if developers want to succeed, they must understand that it's not an area for compromise. You deserve better than compromises. It's VR exclusive, and that shows the developer failed to understand the most basic axiom of VR gam…

Игра 'The Tavern of Magic' оказалась неожиданно увлекательной. Сначала меня привлек её визуальный стиль - приятная пиксельная графика и милые персонажи. Геймплей прост в освоении, но при этом обладает глубиной. Управление трактиром с магическими особенностями, найм персонала, расширение ассортимента, борьба с конкурентами - все это затягивает на долгие часы. Нравится, что игра предоставляет большую свободу в принятии решений, позволяя развивать трактир в своем стиле. Особенно порадовала система алхимии, где можно создавать уникальные зелья и блюда, привлекающие новых клиентов. Юмор в игре приятный и ненавязчивый, добавляет атмосферности. Разнообразие посетителей с их забавными просьбами и историями также делает игру интересной. Единственное, чего немного не хватает, это большей вариативности в событиях и более глубокой системы взаимодействия с другими фракциями в мире. Но, в целом, 'The Tavern of Magic' - это отличный тайм-киллер с милой графикой и увлекательным геймплеем, рекомендую всем любителям симуляторов и менеджмент-игр.

The general premise and concept for this game are very good! However, I cannot recommend the game in its current state, very buggy, clunky controls and menus, performance was okay. The main think I recommend is a control for in game rotating, while this was not a problem for me on Vive, my friend on Oculus had issues as he could not turn around 360 when needing too, due to his setup not supporting it. Other than that, I hope to return to this game once and if it under goes further development.
