About The Tunnel
In "The Tunnel", player take on the role of an unnamed soul who find himself in a place no one would ever wish to end up. Trapped within a labyrinth of tunnels, you must press forward, constantly on edge, unsure of what might be lurking around every corner. With only two companions by your side – your lantern and a pistol – survival is possible. The lantern will be your guiding light through the dark corridors, and the pistol your defense against the nightmares that haunt the tunnels.
As you climb higher, using ladders that offer a faint hope of reaching the surface, you’ll uncover fragments of the story – mysterious paper notes left behind by someone else, offering cryptic hints as to how you ended up in this nightmare. But one question looms large: Can you make it out alive?

Primarily you will be navigating layers of deep tunnels with the goal of reaching the surface to escape. In addition to the semi-complex shafts, you'll also encounter zombies and on one floor, a [i]demonic hound[/i] that will hinder your attempt at making it out. At the beginning of the venture, there will be a gun that we can use to fight back against zombies, and a lantern to light up some of the darker areas. Each floor is divided into stages, and progressing will require solving simple tasks like turning on electricity or seeking out & placing valves blocking your path. [hr] [/hr] [i]The Tunnel[/i] is truly fulfilling in terms of its performance, which is always good to see when it appears to be the first project of any developer. Same thing goes for the game mechanics, no technical whimsiness, just a game that works as intended. But besides that, I'm struggling to identify areas where the developer has assured engaging gameplay. For probably more than 90% of my in-game time, I have been holding 'W', mindlessly touring practically identical subterranean hallways.
