About The Victor Initiative

The Victor Initiative is a first-person survival horror game in which you explore the halls of a government facility that was abandoned in the 60s in order to discover its secrets while evading the strange entities lurking within.

You've been tasked by a shady government agency to close a 'rift' hidden deep within an abandoned research facility located in North Wales. You get the feeling that you're not being told the whole truth. What horrors will you discover within?

In The Victor Initiative, you have no health bar, nobody to help you, and little information on what you'll encounter. All you know is that you must complete the mission. From a first person perspective, you'll make your way through the winding halls of The Initiative in a bid to survive to the next room. Each room will present a new threat, or a new puzzle that you need to solve in order to keep pushing through. You'll also find new tools as you delve deeper into the facility, which will be essential in dealing with new threats that get thrown at you. Will you be able to survive?

The Initiative was a mysterious government outpost that rarely communicated with the outside world, but 60 years ago, communication stopped completely. Now, you've been tasked to dive back into the nightmare. Inside The Initiative is a spiralling maze of horrors. Deranged ramblings adorn the walls, loose papers are strewn across the floor, and the terrifying threats that caused this ruin are still in there with you. This place has a story to tell. Will you listen? The Victor Initiative also features live action cutscenes and collectables, fleshing out the world and immersing you further into the story. The game will also feature audio logs and documents which tie everything together, with some audio logs featuring special cameo appearances from people who you might know including Sam Lake, Inel Tomlinson, Samantha Béart & Dave Jones.WARNING: THIS GAME FEATURES A HIGH VOLUME OF JUMPSCARES. THESE CAN BE MUTED IN SETTINGS BEFORE STARTING.

Review revised now that I've had a chance to spend a lot of time with this game. I loved this game enough to write a 100% completion guide about it. I have gone through the entirety of this game several times on Normal and Story mode, I've replayed specific chapters over and over again. I've bought the soundtrack and had it playing in the background, TVI Girl an absolute banger and of course, Processing (Initiative Version) being my favorites-- Chase, too, and a few others. These tracks done by Jack Rafferty himself AKA Spacepiano/Spacepiano Games. All of the tracks featured in the game are seamlessly integrated into scenes that take place throughout the game. The voice acting cast is stacked, you've got: BG3's Samantha Béart, FFXVI's Ben Starr, WH40K Space Marine II's Inel Tomlinson, and more! You can find the other amazing VAs listed on Spacepiano Games' Tiktok here: https://www.tiktok.com/@spacepiano_games/video/7607177579409214742 The game itself is closing in on the definition of perfection. You won't find a more well thought out survival horror game that achieves what it sets out to do, its story nothing short of excellence. It takes place in a government facility …

I absolutely loved this game — it felt like the Federal Bureau of Control and the SCP Foundation had a wonderfully weird baby. The puzzles were engaging without being overly difficult, and the "enemies" offered a fair challenge that made me retry a few encounters but never pushed into frustration. I played on normal and thought the overall balance was solid. I ran into one bug through my entire playthrough which I brought up to the dev and he fixed within an hour. The soundtrack was excellent, and the voice acting was consistently strong — not just from the well‑known actors, but across the entire cast. The humour in some of the notes and logs was great, I enjoyed that light-heartedness. And as someone who’s Welsh, hearing my language, the accents, and seeing real locations I know (and have even visited) mentioned, made the experience feel surprisingly personal. Bendigedig!

2.2 hours in so far and this game is definitely worth your time and money. If you are a fan of horror that will stress you out? Get this game, it is VERY fun. Much love to the developers, even though you are EVIL!

I bought this game off a recommendation from a friend with hopes it would be great seeing as Sam Lake, Ben Starr and Neil Newbon were attached to it. Never felt so much tension with rocking horses before, i now hate rocking horses.

Don't be fooled, this SCP-inspired horror experience is tough as nails (on normal difficulty that is) but well worth your sweat and tears. You'll never see rocking horses the same way again.
