About 墙之恐惧: The Walls Still Stand

Welcome to 墙之恐惧: The Walls Still Stand, an atmospheric indie horror walking simulator set in the labyrinthine depths of the old Kowloon Walled City. Immerse yourself in a meticulously crafted world where every shadow tells a story and every corner holds a secret.

As the protagonist, you wake up each day within the oppressive confines of the city with a list of tasks to accomplish: deliver bread, meet the neighbors, and explore the eerie, narrow alleyways that seem to pulse with a life of their own. Your seemingly mundane routine soon reveals the hidden, sinister underbelly of the city as you delve deeper into its history and uncover the truth behind the haunting atmosphere.

Experience the chilling environment through immersive 3D spatial sound that makes the city come alive around you. With six multiple endings to discover, your choices shape the outcome of your journey, making each playthrough unique. With an average completion time of 1-2 hours, 墙之恐惧: The Walls Still Stand offers a compact yet profoundly impactful experience that lingers long after the final scene. Can you unveil all the endings and escape the city's grip?

I will start saying this is a "recommended, but..." I Love the feeling the game gives off, the claustrophobic and oppressive feel and for the lore your given I found interesting! I also find the scares fairly effective, the sound is also on point but... 2 of the endings are bugged and has not been addressed by the developer over a year later and ill be honest the blinking mechanic could have been interesting if it was actually used, instead it was just there and serves no purpose and the game would have been better without. even with the negatives, I had a good time but you should maybe get this only on sale given only 4 of sex endings function so maybe wait for a 33% off sale

The Walls Will Stand - Some spoilers below Its a Decent Indiegame for its price. For its version as of the time writing this review, its fairly decent but can be polished more. Some mechanics of the game isn't really explained and it's up to the players to enjoy and find out, but the lack of introductions or proper usage of the mechanic is somewhat of a downside leading to other people guessing or looking up stuff in the forums or online on how things work A friend helped me through some of the ending but we didn't get all of them as of this time of writing the ending 3 and 4 is quite hard to obtain or bugged even so we can't even obtain it in the first place Overall; The Atmosphere is good, Sound is okay, and the overall feel is great which is a nice change of pace from jump scares being thrown but this game doesnt do that but instead the environment does the job. 6/10 Overall for me~

The game looks amazing, the sound it excellent but also one of the downfalls of this game. There are SO many sounds to "listen" for, you never have a clue to what is actually happening at all. There is only 3 things to do everyday, and they are the same 3 things EVERY DAY! Nothing ever changes! I never knew there was 6 endings to this game because I always got 1 ending 4 times in a row and an hour of game play. The game got boring fast after dying the same way twice. The "jump scares" were only from the game sound most of the time I had no idea why the jump scare was happening until my 3rd playthrough. The game showed promise when i first started but I was quickly let down after my first death. I do not recommend this title.

Positives: The graphics, the sound effects, the eeriness of the game really were beautifully done. There is a lot of potential in the game and I can see it becoming better with some updates. Negatives: The first things I noticed while playing the game was that there were no options. I couldn't adjust sound, I couldn't adjust mouse sensitivity, and I couldn't adjust brightness. As a streamer and gamer all of these are very important. For the viewers some games appear darker on Twitch so being able to adjust brightness is a big thing. It actually gave me a headache after playing because the mouse sensitivity was up so high. I completed two endings. I played the game through three times receiving one ending twice and eventually getting a second one. I didn't understand what I needed to do differently in order to get different endings and that was frustrating. I did try three times and was satisfied with two endings. I just wish there was more direction The jump scares. I noticed with the way the music shifted or the sudden sounds that a jump scare was happening, or things were happening around me but there was no direction on where to look and when. It would be better if scenes we…
