Q: My controller isn't responding?
A: Please confirm the controller is connected to your pc, or re-plug it and see if it works. If not, try right click the game from your steam library - properties - controller, and turn the override off if it's on. We are currently looking into this issue and working on it around clock, so please keep the game up to date.
Q: How do I remove the barrier from the TV boss?
A: Try do combos and accumulate energy for your ultimate attack, as it can break the barrier.
Q: I'm lost, where do I go?
A: There are guides available in steam community. Try looking it up for hints.
The Weird Dream is a 2D Metroidvania game set in the ruins of Alpha City. Control a mysterious bunny while confronting Alpha City’s mutated inhabitants. Level up your skills, and unravel the truth behind the City’s untimely destruction. The city holds many legends about the origin of a being only known as the Astral Lord, yet they all share a common detail: the Astral Lord answers sincere prayers and fulfills every desire.

To run on Steam Deck currently use Proton 8.5 This isn't as much as much a review as it's more about the Steam Deck. When I first downloaded the game it would crash every time on the oled steam deck. If you run into this issue change the compatibility settings to run on Proton 8.5. When you first set the setting to 8.5, if you haven't installed it before it will automagically d/l the needed files for this. At first you will see a black screen, but let it stay up and eventually you will see the Unity logo. TBH there is some slow down, but the controls work fine, no issues with readability that I have come across as of yet.7 found this helpful

While I had some trouble running it consistently when I first started playing, I've since had very little issues the last few times I've booted it up. The combat is satisfying, the movement upgrades make sense and are very useful and the story is mysterious and interesting. I haven't finished this game yet, but if you're a fan of metroidvanias, give this one a try; try the demo first if you're unsure, but I'm still enjoying it 9 hours in and the gameplay is very familiar to hollow knight in some ways, such as spike pogoing, a wonderful charm system and platforming challenges for rewards and upgrades. Do yourself a favor, just jump right in and get ready for a wild ride; you'll be glad you did.2 found this helpful
Interesting game, combat only gets good after mid point, tho 🫡
Playing "The Weird Dream" was an unforgettable experience. Guiding the mysterious bunny with such precise controls felt incredibly satisfying – every move flowed seamlessly. Experimenting with the rune system to craft my own combat style gave me so much freedom.
