A strategy game you can enjoy with friends. You can joke around, have fun, and lose track of time while playing. In that way, it’s a fun and social experience. But in my own experience, there are some problems. The user interface (UI) is not very clear. It’s hard to understand what things do or where to click. Also, when you're not making a move, the game just feels like you’re looking at a still image, which makes it feel a bit slow. The game also felt a little too long for me, but maybe that’s just because of how I play. Still, it might be better if the team adjusts things like the in-game money or pacing to make matches go faster. Of course, that’s up to the developers. Even with these issues, I think the game has a lot of potential. With more animations and better UI, it can become a great game. I wish the developers good luck and look forward to the full version.3 found this helpful
Half the time, I don’t even know what I’m clicking on because the UI is very confusing. The art itself is good, but it feels static because there are no animations or visual effects, which makes everything look flat, almost like I'm just looking at PNGs. The gameplay is fine, but the luck-based aspect feels a bit boring at first since you have to wait for your number to gather supplies. I think the game would be more engaging if it focused more on the cards, that part feels unique and has a lot of potential.2 found this helpful
Tried four multiplayer matches of To the Kingdom last night. The illustrated, parchment-style board is gorgeous and the Catan-like trade-and-expand loop is fun once it clicks, with games finishing in about forty minutes. But Early Access rough edges are hard to miss: we hit two crashes, a desynced resource counter, and the tutorial barely explains the icons or trade rules. Key info trade ratios, tile odds, victory tracker is buried in menus, and without bots you’re stuck if fewer than four players show up. Worth grabbing while it’s free for the art and the promise, but expect bugs and bring a full, patient group.2 found this helpful
This game has no AI players. You MUST find players online. I was unsuccessful at finding ANY other players so I don't know for sure if the game is good or not. After reading the rules it looks like a simplified version of Settler's of Catan, but with no trading of goods.
