About Kingdom of Cards
Combine cards to craft tools and weapons to create different units. Farm your lands with farmers, send an explorer to a cave, a thief to steal a mansion or soldiers to conquer a town. Manage your resources to create the best units to defeat every boss.Cards can be combined in multiple ways depending on the building used. The game has several buildings that allow players to use cards in multiple ways.
- Castle Land - Farm your lands to extract resources. Use resources to craft weapons and tools.
- Blacksmith - Craft tools and weapons using items. Discover new cards by experimenting with different items.
- Academy - Teach peasants a profession using tools. Give a peasant an axe and you’ll get a lumberjack that can extract better resources from the forest.
- Armory - Train your units with different weapons to create soldiers, archers, mages, necromancers and more.
- Explorer’s Clan - This terminal allows players to explore locations. Combine a unit card with a location to explore it and see what the unit found.
- Thieves Den - Use units to steal from locations. Send a thief to a manor, town or castle to see what it gets.
- Conqueror’s Guild - Conquer locations using units. Each location spawns a combat phase that players must win to get rewards.

I played the Demo when a while ago. I thought it was fun, and with some evolution it may get to where it needs to. Unfortunately I don't think that's where it is. It's a fun game, please do not get me wrong. And the price tag is low. But once you've played your second game after unlocking a bunch of things - it doesn't get tons different each play through. It's mostly waiting and trying out new card combos. The strategy level isn't super high. It's not a bad game at all. I'd rate it middling if I could. It's more so just a game that hasn't fully flourished into what it can be. I'm in no means saying don't get it, I'm saying that be careful that you super like the gameplay loop you played in the demo.)8 found this helpful
The game play feels more like Cultist Simulator rather than Stacklands.

Game is split into multiple runs with meta progression unlocking new cards in between runs.
Runs have an ending/goal - the map boss.
Unlocked cards either new locations to explore, or new castle lands for new resources
Different castle lands give different resources, so the unlocked castle lands are not necessarily straight upgrades from the older castle lands - they're still useful.
Castle Lands can sometimes drop Location cards which can be explored/conquer to give resources usually obtained from the other castle lands - you could potentially get every resource.
Some cons:

Only 1 building (Blacksmith) for crafting resources into new items. Quite limiting since the better equipment and resources need to be crafted.
Only 4 Castle Lands building in a run at the same time. The castle land can be chosen, but
Location cards do not drop frequently from castle lands, so there might be some waiting period if your Castle Lands do not generate the resources that you are looking for to craft with.
Having the game split into multiple …3 found this helpful
An interesting take on the Kingdom Building Genre. A little grindy to figure things out and you will replay alot, but it keeps getting interesting as you learn more. You have to learn as you go though and experiment... What you can do keeps expanding as you learn more and more possibilities become available. It is alot of trail and error and learning while trying things out...2 found this helpful
Charming card game with rock-scissors-paper combat system. It has some gamebreaking bugs, doesn't save on game exit and some aspects are quite frustrating. However it is still entertaining enough for the asking price.1 found this helpful
Once you start combining cards you just cannot stop! Amazing game with beautiful art. Very simple mechanics but with infinite possibilities. I love it!1 found this helpful
Just not a very good game overall
It's basically a dumbed down version of WichHand, which, in turn is a dumbed down version of Stacklands. You have these plots of land that generate cards for free, you combine them into warriors and fight enemies. Problem is, no part of this process is particularily satisfying.

Crafting is tedious and you even cannot.
Most of your units are trash.
Even those that aren't can still die from a few lucky strikes.
And if you fail combat three times... well, start over.
Art style and music are somewhat good and give some enjoyment in the beginning. Then novelty wears off and game starts wasting way too much of your time. Also, duck arts from game and achievements are absolutely obnoxious. Hate every one of them.
