It's a very nice remaster so if you love the original you'll appreciate it. Also, you can toggle to classic if you prefer. For players who never did the originals, I think this makes it playable for you and removes some of the jankiness without taking out the stuff that makes it nostalgic and special for nerds like me.
This is a LOT more tedious than I remember it being as a kid, and basically unplayable on PC. The controls here make platforming *painful,* and the clunkiness guarantees that you'll never get in the flow while redoing the same basic jumps multiple times in a row. Maybe these first few games were much more plodding and deliberate than I recall them being, but man I ain't got time for that anymore. This was bad to the point that I've played the Lara's Mansion tutorial in Tomb Raider II (I have a lot of for about 20 minutes (Acing it to unlock the treasure room was a great memory). Not once made it past the halfway mark without falling off the course. It breaks my heart because I loved all of these games back in the day. boo.
Love classic Tomb Raider.
